Yesterday a pair of relatives came for a visit... There was a moment when I and one of them (who's actually French and still keeps her accent a bit, though she's been living here for years) were looking at my balcony through the window, where I keep my pets, and she asked me:

"So, how many parakeets have you got?"

Me: "Four. Two are in the cage above, two in the one below."

Her: "Are they both couples? Male and female?"

Me: "Well... Yeah but not the ones below, they're both males."

Her: "But then... Why are they kissing?! :inquisitive:" (they actually preen and show affection to each other, probably, but anyway :lol: I guess she knew this (?) and was joking)

Me: "Ehm... Well..."

Her: "*giggling* Are they gay? They must be French then! They've just approved that gay-marriage law :lol:"

Me: ":lol: *doesn't know what to say* Yeah, definitely!"

 

... Anyway, she doesn't know I've called them Chris and Jonny (for a reason). :lol:
