I hope a new star about this appears now, soon.

Me too. And I hope it says "Rolling Stone are wrong"

Will take me a while to make my peace with it.

everyone's just thinking of it negatively because you're instantly reminded of ricky martin. which is fair --cause i thought of him the second i heard it too...but imagine if ricky martin had never had released that stupid song and coldplay were some brand new indie band....then no one would have doubts over it. people would probably be like, "wow, cool! so edgy". thats why i said on the rollingstone.com website that if my morning jacket's new album was named that the commentators would all be getting boners right now....mwhaha

Yeah, hope so too. this is exciting:dance:

According to the other Rolling Stone article though, some of the songs are dark and tainted with themes of death...then they name it 'long live life'

Pfft. Bah Humbug

nope, 91 days, i'm pretty sure.

i'm calling my summer condo complex TOMORROW and asking where the nearest public access to wifi is, if they don't have it already, or i'll have to old-skool it with dial-up, but i dont think i'll have that much patience!

^Might be irony or sarcasm. But then again they're not radiohead.

Thank you very much for the news!!

Awesome!! Much more than the title itself I loved the meaning of it! Easier to explain than X&Y :P

:P

I'm gunna shut up about my disdain towards the title now, is done. I'm sure I'll learn to like it. Maybe.

I really hope the cover art will be the cherub-esque face which is on the leaked new website designs, is that the painting viva la vida is linked to?

Oh damn, I forgot that you're on holiday that day

I'm thinking that the album is likely to leak anyway, so even if there's no internet access, you will possess the album itself!

Lol "Viva la Vida"?

I just imagine a conversation with my friends...

- I've bought a new record today.

- Oh really? Which one?

- "Viva la vida".

- WTF??????!!!!!! :dozey:

For me it sounds a bit like a typical summer album which comes out every summer here including songs from the nightlife districts of Mallorca.

Well at least it's great to see that the boys already mentioned the title on this short film by Will. ;)

I think this is the painting...........

Ugh. Thats what I'm dreading as well.

I'm thinking of just calling it 'Coldplay's Fourth Album' in conversations.

ah! you beat me to it :D

yes, holiday...blargh. well, i'll work something out. i'd still love it to leak...as guilty as i feel for saying that. i'll find a way to get it then; it might just not be at midnight and will have to wait till the next morning. poo.

well, instead of saying viva la vida go ahead and translate to long live life......

that doesn't sound as bad.......

Haha, woah, well remembered! Its like this whole thing is connected!

Haha great idea! That sounds more important. :D

I haven't logged in and posted in a while, but needed to comment on the title of Coldplay's 4th studio album.

My comment is: WHAT A PILE OF SHIT.

I am truly gutted. Famous Old Painters would have been awesome.

For some reason this comment cracked me up.

But I agree that Famous Old Painters was MUCH better.

just read the title of this thread and went,"WHAAAAAT?"

okay, is this even reality anymore?

the title is a bit... awkward, though.

thought they'd come up with something great like "A Rush Of Spanish Rhythm To The Head" or something.

If you read the new article Chris said :

"“long live life,” on a painting by Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, who endured polio, a broken spine, and chronic pain for decades. “She went through a lot of shit, of course, and then she started a big painting in her house that said ‘Viva la Vida,’"

I like this meaning. But yeah, for the moment, I'm not really fond of this title.
