Second single - Not 42?

Featured Replies

I'm thinking there'll probably be another single off the record before albums release, and initial reports suggest 42. But this may no longer be the case with the amazing Viva la Vida circling the internet right now.

So your thoughts? Discuss.

42 for third single and Cemeteries of London for 4th or am I totally wrong?

iTunes won't let us download the song NOW if it's not a single.

It's kinda weird that two singles get released on iTunes almost at the same time...

locust did say Viva la Vida would be a large contender for a single. And I think I read someone say somewhere that the version of VLV that we have is the "single" mix.

The downloaded version from iTunes says it's "New Edit" and the album is called "Viva la Vida (New Edit) - Single"

interesting, although you shouldnt believe anything on wikipedia, but it has Lost! as the second single but i doubt that.

Yes, Wikipedia has just confirmed Lost! will be the second single with a Chris and Jonny fart-off as the b-side.

But seriously, dont believe wikipedia unless it's sourced.

Viva la vida as single will be just a good choice, maybe 42 is even better... we don't know apart locust :D

well, maybe they're going to release different singles in different countries??

I've understood they want to make people hear all the tracks not only the singles as it normally happens with an album...

it's incredible like Violet Hill disappears in my head after hearing viva la vida...

That confirms it: you are definitely male! :laugh3::laugh3::laugh3:

Viva la Vida as second single is a great possibility.

The file says as album: Viva la Vida (New Edit) - single

Maybe the album version is (a little) different.

This is the edit for the single, so definately Viva La Vida will be the second single and will be released on 21st May

If it was the second single why would itunes have already released it...maybe a mistake on their part..who knows :\

It is kinda strange they just suddenly released it.

I'm not complaining though:smug:

Just another surprise from Coldplay HQ.

Strange, we started the day expecting to hear A Spell A Rebel Yell, but got Viva la Vida instead! Doesnt seem like anyone's remembered that ASARY was supposed to be released today now!

Imagine if this was a mistake on iTunes' part?

Well it looks like May 21st has come a lot sooner than we thought.

We will still be getting this big announcement on that day though, I think.

hopefully there will be a video if viva la vida is the second single.... maybe the video in barcelona's church is for it! an amzing video for an amazing song!!!

I can imagine the light through the windows of the church, just what I think when I hear the song: much light from everywhere

Well, if it's true, I'm not going to complain!

I love Lost!

But I would think 42 would be third, Viva la Vida would be 2.

we still dunno what the next single is, lot's of people have said that it is probably Lovers In Japan but nothing has been confirmed
