Getting the blu-ray player on this PC to actually play region A blu-rays and getting a new laptop.

 

One surprising thing is that so many computers still come with DVD drives, this is a near 5 year old machine and it came with a blu-ray drive.

Spending a relaxing day napping on the couch and watching TV with my guy.

Learning that my Secret Santa match had received the package I sent her.

 

Last year at least one (maybe 2) packages was (were) lost so I was beginning to think: "Oh no, not again". So it was a real relief to me to learn that the package was received and appreciated. :)

 

Just now I am following the funeral of Madiba - the very honourable Nelson Mandela. R.I.P. and thanks for being such an inspiration when it comes to the power and scope of forgiveness and love.

Was going to make a thread with this exact title, but turns out it already exists. Yesterday, a stranger held their umbrella above me to shelter me from the rain. Small act of kindness, but it made a big difference as I was sad at the time. Thank you, Mister :) x

BBC introducing stage at Glastonbury made me very happy. Seeing young new talent.

Passed my ambulance driver's test yesterday so now that I have everything I need, I can apply to be a EMT for an ambulance company. Run some IFT's and 911's hopefully! Year made!
