June 8, 200818 yr I'm waiting too. I really wish I hadn't heard either Violet Hill or Viva La Vida before the release either. They're so good, it would have been amazing to hear them for the first time with the rest of the album. I'm new to the board by the way! :) -Lesley i know what you mean! the more i listen to vlv the more i think it would've been great to hold that one off till the album release. i'm not complaining though, it would've been a favorite regardless of how i heard it :D oh yes, and welcome to coldplaying, enjoy your stay :) Still haven't listened to any of the new album.....and its not hard for me to resist haha just before you posted this i was actually looking up old threads and found the one you made about not liking them anymore... however i think you'll soon find yourself loving this new album. well, one can be hopeful lol come back to the...um, cold side? ;)
June 8, 200818 yr Hello Coldstainers, I'm still here. Had a close one last night. I logged into MySpace and went to the streaming page, and pressed play. The volume was down, but I was seriously thinking of turning it up. I was fighting desperately with my left hand to stop my right hand from dragging the volume slider up, it was an epic struggle. Kind of like in Liar Liar when Jim Carey is trying to stop himself form writing on his face. I won, and the volume didn't go up. Instead, I watched as song progressed second by second, wondering what Life In Technicolour sounds like, before closing that window, switching off the computer and going to bed. Another day has come. Let's just hope I don't have any more dodgy moments like that. Peace. xxx

June 8, 200818 yr Well, the only song I've heard from the new album is Violet Hill, and I'm going to keep it that way until VLVODAAHF is sitting in my CD Player. I've made no attempt to listen to Viva La Vida, and along with that, I've also decided to listen to absolutely no Coldplay until I hear the new album. It's tough, but hopefully it'll be worth it, and I'll feel refreshed when I hear the new album, not alienated.

I think that's a big misunderstanding here. people react as if we feel ourselves 'bigger fans' because we wait, but that's not true. we chose not to listen to it, but i think we understand very well that other people already listened to it. And just to say : so far so good, i'm getting less tempted every day. I hope i'll still want to buy the album friday :p

June 10, 200818 yr I managed to listen to the Q Radio show, Ben Jones and the XFM Playback without actually hearing any of the songs, whilst making sure I heard the interview parts and recording them all too. That's Coldstainer dedication baby.

June 10, 200818 yr OH MY, MY COPY HAS BEEN POSTED BY PLAY. 3-5 DAYS AND THE WAIT IS OVER. I'm dyiiiiing to listen, it's getting harder and harder not to just listen to it, but I'm hangin' in there!
June 11, 200818 yr June 14 is the release date of the album here in Australia, and it's also the day my exams begin lol. If anything, it makes me look forward to the date more but at the back of my mind I'm wanting days to go by slowly :freak: Can wait to hear LIT though, it's the one track I really want to hear! So....coldstaining continues :D
June 11, 200818 yr i'm also an aussie waiting it out til June 14th! The only songs i've listened to are VH, ASARY and Lost?. the wait will be soooo worth it :D ...but i'm gonna be pissed if I get to JB-HIFI after work and find they sold out :shocked2:
