....with the exception of Viva La Vida and Violet Hill...I'm with all of you! I'm glad I got to experience the 'preview day' and confirm that it really is one of the greatest albums ever! Now I'll wait until the 17th!!

I caved. Not too sad I did though, except the quality of the songs could easily be better. Can't wait to have the physical album in my hands! It's a great record.

I have that concern so I'm trying to not listen much until the 17th. There's no surprise waiting when the disc comes out but there is awesome quality when I put those headphones on.

How about I email you the song ;-) and u can write your own detailed description. No one else has to know that you've heard it pre-release! With X&Y I pretended not to listen to the leak coz the GF and I had planned to listen to the cd together...but I couldn't help myself. I still acted like my first listen was with her :)

 

Btw if the US release date was closer to the Japan release date I might have held off....but no way was I waiting almost a week longer for no reason. If they can release movies worldwide simultaneously and video games, then they should be able to the same for music....esp if they're so concerned about music sales decreasing over the last decade. Music industry needs to stop complaining and actually do something.

 

ViVA LA enjoying the album almost every minute of the day until the 17th when I'll be enjoying a HQ rip of it :)

Congrats on getting tix to one of the shows in italy. My friend in milan said that the ticket site was so hard to get into due to traffic that it took her close to 2 hours to get tickets.

I agree with all of you. I too will wait until the actual album is in my hands. Us Coldplayers who are holding out should make a club or something. We are the toughest of them all as we wont give in to temptation.:smug:

I'm in the club. I got as far as starting to download but I clicked the cancel button at like 3%. It just doesn't feel right! I want to stick the CD in my laptop come the 12th and listen to it how it was intended, not butchered with breaks and without the info and sleeve and booklet and whathaveyou, it just adds to the experience.

well ive got to say that my theatrics with my previous post here was unwarranted, as it seems i dont have the balls to actually listen to the songs, theyre sitting theyre in my iTunes, looking beautiful, but i just cant pull myself to do it

I really would like to hear it though, but I can't afford to become obsessed with a song or even a whole album at this moment. My examinations are much more important. Maybe when I'm finished I can say that my exams were more exciting than the album. I love them, so we'll see. :P
