A Rush Of Blood To The Head officially better than Viva La Vida

if one person DARES say to me

"coldplay's new album is the same as the rest"

I will fucking stab them with a fork!

:laugh3:

I'll join you :laugh3:

I would vote for Parachutes and AROBTTH joint if I could...but the latter beats it by a tiiiiny amount :)

Think Viva la Vida is better.

Was never a big fan of AROBTTH.

I'm afrarid this one will be better than parachutes....

and parachutes is their best album in my opinion

I'm not going to rate the albums yet, I think its too early, I'd rather give VLV a few more listens before deciding.

Man how can you not dig Strawberry Swing????? i'm so in love with that song right now :)

the way i see it:

parachutes: dreamy pop/rock

a rush of blood: edgy pop/rock

x and y: arena pop/rock

viva la vida: experimental pop/rock

i think viva's got a little bit of each previous album in it... but i do so love the edgy rock of AROBTTH.

they're all fantastic and i think we should thank coldplay for making a truly NEW album each time.

Everybody has their own opinion, here's mine:

Viva La Vida...is an amazing album. I only don't like Chinese Sleep Chant, others are amazing. In X&Y I didn't like quite a few songs, also in A rush of blood (most notably A whisper and green eyes), and parachutes seemed a bit too depressive to really really like it. With VLV you can just hear the energy, the mental state they're in, it's great even if all the reviewers in the world say it's bad - believe me, it's that good:)

Little too early for this don't you think? Like way too early

Reviewers can say whatever they want about this album, I've already made up my mind. It's their best. Period.

I hope people aren't just saying this is the best album because it's so new.

same thing happened with In Rainbows, everyone said it was the best album hours after it came out.

give it a chance to settle in.

well both albums have a special place in my heart.

well this band and Chris themselves have a special place in my heart, because what ever the music they made i think that its just so perfect and relieves you from some odd times or what ever the times you are they can hold you in the situation.

but i think i did had so many hopes on this album and it even worth it too.

I hope people aren't just saying this is the best album because it's so new.

I understand this sentiment. I was disappointed with X&Y initially, and I don't get that feeling when I hear this one. Every song is so subtle, layered, and colorful. It's not like the shiny new BMW X&Y was, it's more of a beautiful handmade Bugatti. Or something.

it's not fanatism; it's not adrenaline either exciteness but this is the best album ever, even better than a rush of blood to the head
