It's not for lack of talent, I didn't catch today's match but in the last couple weeks I've seen some great individual work to create good scoring situations, and then some really shoddy passing/combination work. Basic passing around the perimeter seems like a chore when I remember it used to be quite fluid. I thought you actually played pretty well against liverpool, but now... :shrug: As for West Brom. Odemwingie seems even better this season than last, and the combination of him, Gera and Long is as dangerous as any top 5 team.
November 17, 201213 yr good weekend for city Superb set of results as well for Liverpool fans! One of the perfect MOTD's I'm watching this evening. The horror result was undoubtedly QPR. What a disaster. That F1 bunch who have had their grubby little hands on the club don't seem to have done much at the club. Yes they have money but stability? No. That said it's better to have Fernandes as the owner than those sleazy pair of Ecclestone and Briatore. Fernandes shouldn't hesitate with Mark Hughes though. He is a dead man walking. edit: Redknapp on MOTD saying he was in for Cazorla a few years back. Sure Harry. Sure.

November 21, 201213 yr I really wish Rafa Benitez all the best at Chelsea. My admiration for that guy will always supersede my distaste for Chelsea. He's a manager and a manager out of work for two years and even if he has strong ties to Liverpool he has to pursue what he thinks is best for him. And if I'm being honest him being out of a job and living nearby in the Wirrell was slightly disconcerting especially for those of us who want to see Rodgers succeed. It was even an issue during Kenny's short reign. He became something of a shadow hanging over the club for possibly the manager and us fans who most of us would jump at the chance of having back. Any chance of it turning really sour for Rodgers and you would hear some at Anfield chanting Benitez's name. That option is gone now and I think we should be slightly relieved over it. I'm more relieved that Benitez has found a top club once again, even if it is Chelsea. He's too good a manager to not manage a good club and far too good to be unattached for that long. November 22, 201213 yr For Champions League this year, I'm citing Dortmund, PSG, and Juventus as the most threatening. Obviously Madrid, Munich, and Barcelona have pretty decent odds, but each have demonstrated fresh weaknesses this season that just makes it a bit more believable to imagine them losing in the semis or quarters. Anyway, if any of the above make the final, I will purchase a large sparkly cookie.
