Pissed off that goal was disallowed. Don't have a clue what the linesman was seeing. It was such a bad decision that I even question whether he gave it for offside. Clearly the linesman bottled it. Gutless fool. Overall a draw is a fair result on balance. First half was a complete shambles I thought. We were off kilter with Everton's physical play and did well to create an opportunistic 2-0 lead. After that we were all over the place. Thankfully the second half was much better on a defensive point of view. Good changes by Rodgers stabilised the ship which if it had continued in the same vain as the first half we would have lost. Thought Everton were very lucky not to give away more free kicks. Referee was very passive on a lot of their foul play, particularly Fellaini. My only regret is that we didn't bruise those bitters but then that would just be bringing ourselves down to that level. Oh and Suarez's dive in front of Moyes - priceless. Have that Gollum. Could do with a few replays of that to show Phil Neville how it's done.

Full credit to Chelsea although the defending is not exactly pretty in either of the games today (apart from the second half at Goodison). Best league in the world? The game needs to slow down in England to allow it develop on a technical level. While it entertains massively, I really don't believe it's good in the long term for injuries and technical development. If ever a league required a mid season break it is this one.

In that Torres situation he didn't need any help, on the other hand I think the rule that a diving player has to get a yellow card sets a bad precedent. This is why the referee sent him off, although most refs are just ignoring the rule (On the grounds that any ref can simply say the player didn't have contact but lost their footing) he followed the rule, if he did see the slight contact he didn't feel it was enough for Torres to go down, but surely that's a dramatic judgement call.

You're comments deserve my attention though so it's unfair to ignore you. edit: do you know what - I overreacted. October 28, 201213 yr well it's not just the Torres decision, its the two disallowed Everton goals a few weeks back, its the goal-that-wasn't in the QPR-Bolton game last season, it's Hernandez off side today... there's bloody loads of decisions that refs need technological help on. That said, if there weren't these talking points in games we would get pretty bored in here!
October 28, 201213 yr I'm slightly a Chelsea fan, and me and my brother were watching the game. I was also talking with an United fan over Facebook, and at the end of the game, we all agreed that it was the referee who won the match for United.
