Surely they'll be able to see who threw that, it looked like it came from a near horizontal angle so it was probably someone down low in the first few rows, I mean throwing a coin can be quite discreet, but chucking a water bottle with some force must be pretty obvious on cameras.

April 15, 201313 yr Yes, that's saying because one linesman made a terrible mistake, when another one makes a terrible mistake we must stand by it. Further from that, the McManaman challenge was at least arguably to get the ball (I would say it wasn't his intention whatsoever- but you can at least argue it was) however Aguero was blatantly a malicious incident, no intent to win a tackle, two footed and practically off the ball. This 'precedent' will be forgotten about shortly, and by the start of next season will never possibly come into consideration, it's ridiculous that he gets let off for it because of the timing of his challenge so soon after another incident.
April 20, 201313 yr ^Hahaha (Except you mean there's three Welsh* teams in the league but still). Although Newcastle have deserved to be at least 1 goal up against West Brom at half time, we totally just got away without conceding a penalty. I actually missed the challenge in real time but seeing the replays it didn't look that bad (Only saw one angle, he completely got the ball but followed through with what may have been more force then slow motion gave the impression) but regardless, it was a good foot inside the box and the referee saw it as a foul, gave it just outside the box after speaking to the assistant for a minute.

April 20, 201313 yr Kidderminster Harriers match suspended after Stockport County fan invades pitch and attacks players English football was disgraced again on Saturday as a Kidderminster Harriers player was attacked by a Stockport County fan during a match in the Conference. Kidderminster’s Lee Vaughan was punched by the hooligan, who had been part of a pitch invasion by travelling Stockport fans. The mob had flooded on to the pitch after seeing their side concede a goal early in the second half. The players were taken off the field for their own safety and the match was suspended for 28 minutes as the police sought to restore order. The violence came just a week after the FA Cup semi-final between Millwall and Wigan was overshadowed by a brawl among fans of the London club. Then, last Sunday, Newcastle fans went on the rampage in the city centre following their defeat by Sunderland. During running battles with the police, one hooligan punched a police horse. The police and the Football Association are studying footage of the trouble at Wembley and a similar investigation into events at Kidderminster is inevitable. Kidderminster’s official Twitter account said Vaughan was not the only player to be attacked by Stockport fans. One message read: “Fans from Stockport end invade pitch. Punches thrown at Kidderminster players. Referee takes players off pitch.” The BBC website’s live coverage of the match read: “Within a minute of Kidderminster scoring some Stockport fans came over the fence and Lee Vaughan was apparently punched. Over the two weeks I've only lost £2 with my stakes, but had they both come in I'd have had like £30 and I'm skint so that would have been awesome. SO annoying.

April 21, 201313 yr If Rovers win one game of their last three (Millwall away, Palace at home and Birmingham away) then two of Peterborough, Wolves and Barnsley will need maximum points from their last two games. I'd back us to stay up but we aren't safe yet. Just need to make the most of any chances.

April 21, 201313 yr Given this is the worst Rovers have been in my entire life, I'd accept an unbeaten season against Burnley, finishing higher than Burnley in the league and Rhodes scoring more goals than Austin. I'd find it hilarious that we've been brought to our knees but are still capable of that. For how long is another matter, mind.

And yes, I was desperate for Bolton to go down when we did as the teams who were promoted the same season Rovers were had all remained in the Prem since that season (Fulham/Rovers/Bolton) and I didn't want Rovers to be the only one breaking that record. Now it's Wolves/Rovers/Bolton who went down so I don't want Bolton to be the first ones to make it back up, if any of us ever do. Plus Bolton are rivals, so I never like to see them succeeding.
