I hope alicia on the U.S. girls gymnastic team does well on the individual vault competition. You could tell she was really taking it hard after falling off the beam, and even worse after her floor routine. :cry:

 

Gymnastics is one of my all time favorite olympic events because, unlike races, their are tons of uncertain 'hold your breath' moments in every routine be it the end of a tumbling run, a vault, flips on the beam or any dismount. It's the game of crunching numbers, knowing what you need and gasping in hope that they stick the landing. Plus the gymnasts are a lot easier to relate to in their emotions and nerves, they're so much more human than some other athletes.

Those Chinese gymnast women couldn't have been more than 14, some looked as young as 10 or 11, sick what that country does with their athletes.

China wins too much gold especially in subjective sports.

Yes, China is winning a lot of medals :o
