I know he's probably joking, but Michael Johnson's attitude towards Michael Phelps is starting to grate on me.

and sorry but I'm still not convinced that they aren't doped...it's sad that you just can't celebrate an athlete nowadays without keeping in mind that he/she could be doped...

whose doped? phelps? he's clean as a whistle. Do you realize how hard is training regiment is? it's sad that an athlete can't be sucessful without people being convinced that they're doped, and they have nothing but blind speculation to go off of.

u r watching too much German television. the whole German team is just upset that they can't keep up to their achievements 10 years ago. now everybody is so much better. u realize that when listening to comments like: "either they have better swim suits or they r doped."

well, in reality their practice is just so different. Americans and Australians work so much harder coz it's professional sport in these countries. in Germany u hardly train 7 days a week.

however, nobody realizes that. and the incompetent broadcasting stations start to annoy me with that s*** of accusations.

Its sad, because theres all this depressing crisis stuff going on at home.... and Im really quiet around the house, so im tryin 2 be like cheery.... and I was always complaining that we had no medals.... so when my dad came home i was like WE HAVE A GOLD... and i go the dirtiest look ever :rolleyes:

AHH I KNOW!! My mom and I were watching it and jumping up and down hahaha! Wow, I'm still shaking from it, it was so great! :dance: 16 MEDALS!!!

saw the whole thing, unbelievable feat, this record might not be beat for generations. He entered in as many events as he could, and won gold every time (plus breaking his own world record in almost every race). Unless someone finds a way to enter 9 events be it in track or swimming, phelps could be looked back on as the greatest swimmer of all time a hundred years from now.
