whose doped? phelps? he's clean as a whistle. Do you realize how hard is training regiment is? it's sad that an athlete can't be sucessful without people being convinced that they're doped, and they have nothing but blind speculation to go off of.

I only said that I am not convinced that they are doped...it's fine if they are clean....I only wanted to imply exactly the same thing like you said in this post...it's sad you always have this doping thought on the back of your mind nowadays...

and maybe it is like Passenger said....maybe I watch too much german TV...but everything is so unreal....this thing that Phelps swims a world record almost everyday...

that Bolt runs sooo fast and is celebrating even before he finishes the race....

^What's sad is that everyone has the doping thought in the back of their mind. There's been so much of it that we're all suspicious when someone does a great job. Being from

Canada, the spectre of Ben Johnson looms over every achievement our athletes have. Even if people aren't doping, it's just assumed the do if they perform well.

Putting my personal politik about Tibet aside for just a moment (Which is hard for me since I've been very passionate about Tibet for years)...CANADA FINALLY HAS MEDALS.........YESSSSSSSSS!

Yeah yeah yeah it's ok.-...;)

probably I sholdn't be happy about Britta Steffen having won her second gold medal....:P

I stupidly stayed awake til half 3 watching the marathon....

poor Paula Radcliffe! Her leg just wasnt up to it, and I felt sorry for the other girl, Yelling, who took a tumble. The other English girl, Yamouchi, came 6th though, which I thought was pretty good :nice:

What?? 6th?? No way!! CANADA owns 6th place thisyear, lol. (seriously, we've come in 6th too many itmes to count!)

Gotta give props to our man's rowing team. They were devastated after the last olympics...even in tears from falling apart so badly, and they could do nothing but win to make up for it this time!! Nice going, guys!!

Why American Matthew Emmons scored 4.4 points in his last shot?????

and, before Gym games ,DJ played <Viva La Vida>!

i saw that shot....it was incredible.....he losseed twice ...in 2004 too..for a last shot

its done!

i guess pretty much everyone knew that USA was going to win this one, but i'm just really glad that phelps got his 8th gold :D

14 GOLD MEDALS EVER. 2 other medals. that's just freaking mind blowing.

Woho, indeed! I was too tired to get up to see the swim but i saw the result right away when i finally got up

Ah, it's soo cool to see him winning so many medals

Juleeeeeeees

I love your avatar

I see what you mean, but the possibility that they may be doped shouldn't take away from their feats when there is a 99% chance they aren't doped. Just because it's in the back of your mind doesn't mean it's always true in these athletes. and considering the amount of monitoring and drug-testing these guys are under... It's pretty much impossible.

yeah these tests may be negative. But actually nobody knows what happened before....they are clean during olympia....but maybe their basis of being world class athletes may contain doping...

however.....we all have our own views about that and as long as nothing is proved it's ok...

@Lore: awwww yeah I know.....your Gonzalez is pretty pretty pretty hot....ooooooh...:wink3:

I loooove tennis players

Today is sooo good!!!

Rafael Nadal won the gold medal!!!

Another Spanish sportsmen/women won medals!!!

I saw the superb race of Michael Phelps and his companions... Simply the best!!! Amazing race and they were crazy!! hehehe

MICHAEL PHELPS is the God in the Olympus, his name is written with GOLD letters, historic day!

Does anyone know what the track is that BBC played at the end of the Games Today, when they were showing all the medals GB won this weekend? It's got guitar, drums and an epic, beautiful choir singing something like "Oooh" or "Aaah".

Edit: Never mind, someone informed me it's Wake Up by Arcade Fire - what a tune...

TEAM GB ARE THIRD AT THE MO!!!!!!!!!!! WOO!

You going to watch the Olympic Handover event next week Simon?

I want to go to London 2012 :bigcry:

Tokyo, Madrid, Chicago & Rio are the 4 cities for the 2016 games.

Hopefully Tokyo will win it

Rio should win... it should be like the World Cup.. everytime in a different continent...

I want to go to London 2012 :bigcry:

Well if you can get over here, you can camp in my garden (London is only an hour or so away on the train) ;)

i plan to be living in london/outside london in 2012. that could prove interesting for me :P

i was actually hoping NYC wouldn't win it (it was between NYC, london, and paris, if i remember correctly) because i live close to NYC and didn't really want to be innundated by tourists etc, but it would also be cool, albeit crowded. if i'm actually in england by 2012, though, i'll be pumped!

and it's embarrassing, but i already miss michael phelps :P

ohhh that's nice I'll keep that in mind :P

How un-gentleman like! You should let Lore sleep in a bed or at least inside your house :laugh3:

I can't wait for 2012! Should be fuun :)
