Working the night of Wed the 25th, get off at 7am Thursday morning, drive directly to airport catch flight to NYC at 10am. Stay Thursday night at Rockefeller Hotel, perhaps some stalking at the Daily Show :wink3:. Get up at some ungodly AM hour Friday morning, (thank god I'm at a hotel at 30 Rock) see the show, avoid arrest for attacking Jonny :sneaky:, back to airport, flight back to Houston. Drive straight into work to there at 6:30pm. Simple. :smug:

ok, i'm going anyway, but this would make my LIFE. my brain is spinning with what i would do if i win. i have to make this PM a good one...too bad i suck at talking about myself like i deserve to win. well, i'm going to try my damndest, because...:bomb:

i think the Today show organisers have to be carefull anyway because they've to first interview the band and then let them perform one or two of their songs and then let them go securely out.

 

Because they'll not be having time to show the rest of the news on Today.

I won tix to one of these things for Sting a couple of years back. While the number of songs will be few (4, 5 or 6 or so- only 2 or 3 go on air) I can assure you it is TOTALLY worth it. You get put in a section right next to the stage where they go in and out between commercials and interviews and you will get to interact with them (assuming they are willing). In our case with Sting, we got to get autographs and pics of him and all the band members, all signed my CD, and if you look carefully can find yourself on TV later. :)

any interaction too with the band,and vice versa.

 

as far as i know i read that it will be from outside of rockefellar plaza that audience must watch and all the thing will be inside studio.

They set up a stage outside in between the NBC studio and the Dean & Deluca. You can see/hear from the street (and Dean&Deluca) without tickets. They go inside for interviews. Come back play a little more. The VIP area is on the side of the stage closer than the main crowd. The band will walk directly by this area to get inside. How close? Inches.

 

 

**all this assumes it't the same layout as previous "summer concert series" things the Today Show has done.
