is it just me or is this the greatest fucking song coldplay ever came up with.

 

i was a bit disheartened when chris called parachutes rubbish because it's one of my favourite albums but after all he obviously knows his shit what with politik also being on his top 3.

 

the last bit of politik (around 3:00 mark and onwards) is better than all of viva la vida + x & y combined.

i agree politik is the best coldplay song its fo freaking amazing the part makes me want to scream out

The final "but give me love over this" gives me goosebumps, but Yellow is the best E V E R

I didn't actually like this song, before, but now listening to it, it gives me goosebumps. It's such a powerful and amazing song.

and also ya yellow is a good song but theres so many songs that are better for example POLITIK!!!!!!!

 

but there is also songs better than politik but yellow isnt one of them.......a lot of songs beat yellow

Politik is amazing, that's all I have to say. Definitely one of my favorite 5 Coldplay songs, along with the likes of Fix You, The Scientist, etc.

They should bloody well play it more if they want an epic show. Stop neglecting it! :angry:

I remember the first time I heard Politik: I was in my bedroom, aged about 13...I played "A Rush Of Blood To The Head" for the first time. I think I almost cried - I felt like a bit of a wimp, but the music was just f*cking amazing.

Politik is THE best simple as that. Listen to any live version, and it blows you away.

 

Only one song has come close for me and that Death And All His Friends and Fix You.

One of their best for me for sure, but then there are so many others are fighting right there at the top of the list for room to be heard (and not just from Coldplay, it's one of the most impressive songs I've ever encountered)!!

 

I think it gives me the most goosebumps of all their tracks when they play it live, closely followed by Warning Sign, the cry in Lovers in Japan, and the opening of Don't Panic.

 

To not play it live is really something :( (though if the band have fallen out of love with it for some reason I understand, but still not entirely thrilled...)

It definitely battles for the number one spot for me, with the title track of the same album always close behind.

i'm a bigggg politik fan. i don't think it's my favorite though... but definately like #4... which is a big deal... but i think it's maybe the best live. i'm REALLY hoping they play this one in hartford/boston!

I would have to say that I prefer the Hollywood Bowl version (of Politik) that went out on a bootleg, this was also on the 2003 tour. Check it out!
