I thought the correct side was the right side

I'm amazed to hear that coming from an Aussie!!:dozey:

Ah, conventions - how global standards just can only go so far!:laugh3: ISO 2100 has us all driving on the Right-hand side, since that's more common. :P All you lefties will have to switch. Sure, mass chaos in the land where you're from you say? Only for a few decades, and by then, after all the dust has settled, and the dents are pulled, you'll be just fine!:) Plus, your insurance rates will go down again, and that will come as a much-needed relief.

A long, long time ago, there was no standard for location of the drive lever or steering wheel, so yes, I have driven a right-hand drive car here in the US! Granted, this was a 1909 model, probably the last year you could get right-hand drive autos, but they did exist!

its my road, i'll drive on whichever side i see fit

Either the dead center or on the sidewalk (Im not a good driver:\)

JK, Im actually pretty good, and in America we drive on the right side.:smug:

Also having to drive though the right hand side of the Newport tunnel, again late one night.

Contraflows don't count.

I dont think I could drive on the left side of the road... even being in a car on the left side it's a bit panicky!!

On camp I drive in the middle of the road as the majority of it is an annoying one way system, and due to the various roadworks, a short0cut one day might be blocked off the next day.

we drive on the left here. I don't think I could drive on the right, I would end up in the gutter or something but then don't people who drive on the right have their steering on the otherside to us?
