October 25, 200817 yr That dress is gorgeous! And the boots make the outfit. Hot! So remember this jacket from Anthropologie? I went it to see if they had it on sale, and it was! 50% off! I almost let out a "squee"!!!! also picked up some cowl necks; a top and tunic from the always delightful Forever 21. haha you know what I wish I could find? shoes that are good enough for going out in but won't make my feet hurt within 5 mins. I think it's impossible!
October 26, 200817 yr Alright I have been asked to accompany someone to a formal dinner. So, Outfit one: OR Outfit two:
October 26, 200817 yr Love both!! But would go with outfit 1, but, with outfit 2 shoes... Ha! You've made it back from the wilderness!!:P
October 26, 200817 yr a girl's got to leave the library every once and a while... right? To shop??
October 26, 200817 yr I haven't shopped yet... i need new clothes... :( That's very unlikely.;) I think you're confusing the word "need" with "want".
October 26, 200817 yr Love both!! But would go with outfit 1, but, with outfit 2 shoes... exactly my thoughts... the shoes on outfit one are nice by colour , but heels always look more formal...
October 26, 200817 yr Second one, definitely, Kellie. I like the first one but I don't know about the whole outfit.. doesn't look that formal to me.
October 29, 200817 yr it's getting really cold here (at least for my brazilian standards...) so that means i need to buy an actual coat that will keep me warm, coz the ones i have now are not getting their job done properly... any uk store advice for me?? not too expensive please. international student living on a bugdet, aka POOR!! :laugh4:

PS. You go to Oxford!?!!??!
October 30, 200817 yr I wonder... what's your definition of cold exactly? well... i come from brazil, bare that in mind. it snowed here in oxford 2 days ago, so it's quite cold. even the brits are complaining it's too cold. but if u want to know temperatures... it's prob around 6 or 7C during the day... and close to 0 at night (at least that's what my weather.com tells me) i've lived in canada, which is MUCH colder (got months of -30C) but the cold here is humid which makes it really annoying and feels colder also. and in canada i would just wear those not really fashionable snow jackets. europe calls for something a bit more sofisticated.... And Anna, I don't go to Oxford University, I go to Oxford Brookes, which is another uni also here...
October 31, 200817 yr And Anna, I don't go to Oxford University, I go to Oxford Brookes, which is another uni also here... Ooh very cool anyway!! One of my life dreams is to live in Oxford....how amazing is it??
November 3, 200817 yr Ooh very cool anyway!! One of my life dreams is to live in Oxford....how amazing is it?? Hummm... i don't know where you live, but here is ok. I can't say it's a bad city to live in but the 'smalltowness' and academia sometimes gets a bit overwhelming. This weekend I 'escaped' to London just coz I needed to see some normal people, good old traffic and pollution. But then, I'm a bit weird and addicted to big cities, so small towns sometimes can make me feel trapped. Other than that Oxford is lovely with its beautiful parks, ivory towers and bright green grass. :nice: Oh, and I bought a new coat, will try to get a pic to show it to you guys...

I can't wait to see it, Mari! :D And don't worry, I feel the same way, I can't stand suburbia, I'm much more of a city person. I love the loud noise and traffic! It's more lively and I feel like home is so dead and lonely.
