July 27, 200817 yr I am one. I have always been one. I have NEVER had long finger nails :disappointed: I know it looks horrible but i'm just so used to them so i don't think they're so bad.. But when i see someone elses nails..and they're like mine i go "oh my GOD! Do they look that bad " and apparently they do. I know it's a bad habbit but i just can't help it.. my mum always says it started because she didn't let me suck to thumb long enough when i was a baby. Don't know if there's any truth in that but anyway. At the moment i'm wearing some nail polish and i haven't bitten them since i put it on yay! It also makes my nails feel stronger (they're weak as hell normally) Well, i play some instruments so it's not even possible to have long finger nails but it wouldn't hurt to have a bit more of them either.. Mwah. Anyone share my problem? And i'm talking about those extreme nail biters whose nails look CRAP not just "meh, i bite them when i'm nervous" people. Weeoo, DISCUSS!
July 27, 200817 yr heyho Rolly I am one, too!:nice: I've been doing it all my life. But I must admit that my finger nails don't look as bad anymore as they did some years ago....a strange thing is that I rather do it when I am at home. When I am in Bonn I don't do it that often, don't know why though. I never really had long finger nails.
July 27, 200817 yr I used to but haven't since I started using nail varnish. My problem now is remembering to cut them. They're getting too long for typing again, and are too long for me to thread the needles for my cross-stitch. When I was little my Mum used to paint anti-nailbiting stuff on my fingers which worked for a little while til I got used to the yucky taste :laugh3:

My mum tried this too but I also got used to the taste which was quite bitter...
July 27, 200817 yr Lol! I bite my nails. And the hard skin at my fingertips. At least I don't bite the nails on my feet anymore though... :wacky: I was a very weird child, once upon a time.

I think i'll try not to bite them for a little while now again.. just to see if they get a bit stronger and harder to bite :P I don't want to be ashamed of them bah! I bit my toe nails too when i was little   Sounds ew now but i didn't think there was anything wrong with it back then :wacky:

July 27, 200817 yr Author :o cheesey? i can't remember :uhoh2:   I bite my nails too, they've never ever been long. Aww it's nice to see i'm not alone with my problem :cool3: Well, many people expect girls to have fancy nails and erm.. mine are nothing like that so it's a suprise to see so many nail-biter coldplayers!
July 27, 200817 yr Wow..i can't imagine myself with that problem..forgetting to cut them  its more that i only remember ether when i don't have the time, or when my hands have just been immersed in hot water and the nails are too soft
July 27, 200817 yr I find it weird that people bite their nails (no offense :uhoh:). Is it because you're stressed or hungry.. ?:P mine can be pretty long, it's not always nice. They grow so fast that I sometimes have to cut them every week..
July 27, 200817 yr When I was in the 6th grade, I got stuck with this habit of biting my nails a lot and it was awful! Oh man. But I managed to get over it. I used to stop myself whenever I realise I'm doing it and with a very long period of time I eventually stopped. But man it can be addicting! I do, however, still bite the hard skin at my fingertips as 'Pai' has mentioned!

They grow so fast that I sometimes have to cut them every week.. hah, that's okay. Actually, when i see someone else biting their nails i just can't help thinking "eew, you've GOTTA know how gross that looks like " But nah, i don't think i bite them 'cause i'm neither stressed or hungry. It's just..a habit. I've always bitten them and don't know how to stop.. I've had some semi long nails but man that felt weird :uhoh: When I was in the 6th grade, I got stuck with this habit of biting my nails a lot and it was awful! Oh man. But I managed to get over it. I used to stop myself whenever I realise I'm doing it and with a very long period of time I eventually stopped. But man it can be addicting! I do, however, still bite the hard skin at my fingertips as 'Pai' has mentioned! I think i'll now seriously try to stop myself doing it. I'm just getting sick of having to try to hide my fingers all the time :disappointed: But yeeaah, cuticles are the best things to play with :wideeyed: no matter how often that playing makes them bleed haha
July 27, 200817 yr I used to bite nails, but I stopped after the metal started wearing my teeth away!

July 27, 200817 yr I used to bite my nails, but they are not "that" bad. But I decided to quite, so I did.
July 28, 200817 yr i'm trying to quit. dude, it's so hard to. i quit, then started again a few days before the coldplay concert. :D but you should see them now. they're like, sooo little. :P
July 28, 200817 yr I've bitten my nails all my life. Then I got braces and stopped because I couldn't bite them properly....then I started picking at them. Then I got my braces off...now I do both! I pick at my toenails to. I really want to stop. I put polish on my toes and haven't picked them in a few days though! Polish just looks strange on my fingernails but I want to try some clear nail strengthening stuff, just so I'll try and remember. It's a very bad habit of mine. I always bite them when I'm at the computer (a lot), when I'm reading (a lot) and when I watch movies
July 28, 200817 yr Aye....we should start a club..:P And its honorary president could be David Nailbandian.
