October 22, 200817 yr ^ They are coming in february-march, I'm sure they will announce the dates soon
October 22, 200817 yr When they came to Paris-Bercy on 9th of Sept, Chris said he would come back next year. Waaaaa =D =D =D I hope he meant it ! I really thought that we would have to wait until at least 2010 to see them again here !!!!!!! You just made my day !! :drunk:
October 22, 200817 yr i just read they're coming to pinkpop 2009... but i don't really believe it.... hope so though
October 22, 200817 yr i know they always leave Latin America for the end of the tour, but having no official news or dates is nerve racking!!!!!!! :bigcry:
October 26, 200817 yr Extend Tour? Dearest Coldplay, Please extend your Viva la Vida Tour. You can totally do it, the material is just that strong, you're an EP mid-tour, so you must know it and feel it too. Thanks, Freezingcoldplay
October 26, 200817 yr They originally said they were doing 150 dates. So far they've only done a third of those. I think you will get your wish anyway ;)
October 26, 200817 yr They originally said they were doing 150 dates. So far they've only done a third of those. I think you will get your wish anyway ;) think we're about half way. last time I counted we had nearly 80
October 28, 200817 yr Second Europe leg??? hey everyone! i was just wondering if there's a chance that europe will be played again during this tour? Cause the thing is that i'm trying to decide wether or not to fly out to great britain for a show or just to wait and hope for another show in germany (or somewhere closer and less pricey than the hassle of organising a trip to say london and getting ripped off on ebay for a ticket). So what do you think I should do? I heard that Chris said in Paris that they'll be coming back soon and somewhere else I read that originally they were planning on playing 150 gigs...We're far away from that. So, maybe if the go to latin america in spring they might just come back to europe for an open air tour (Chris said they were trying to book Knebworth). It kind of fits together but there's no official statement yet...So I dunno what to do, I really don't wanna miss my last chance of seeing them live if I decide not to go to Britain and wait... Please, I need some professional Coldplaying advice :) Thanks you guys!
October 28, 200817 yr During Coldplay tour in Paris, last month, Chris indeed said they would come back next year. So you should wait 2009 unless they give a concert beforehand near where you live or in a country nearby. As for me i prefer to wait even though i regret not to have seen them a second time as i was busy with my camera and missed some songs. The best was to go to a second concert without taking any picture to take advantage of the whole concert. :stunned:
October 31, 200817 yr http://colunistas.ig.com.br/lucioribeiro/2008/10/30/feliz-2009-brasil-il-radiohead-e-coldplay-confirm :D
October 31, 200817 yr I think an European Tour in 2009 is a real possibility. There was an interview with their manager Dave Holmes, in June I think, in which he explained Coldplay were to return to Europe for a stadium tour. I believe they could perform at some of the same stadiums where U2 are playing, so if it's Vienna or Munich again, I'll go crazy:D Oh, and btw, I remember that article also mentioned that they could be back for a US stadium tour after EU tour.
November 14, 200817 yr Coldplay - Live at Wembley Stadium in 2009!! All but confirmed! if you take a look at the interview with chris on the official website, he mentions that coldplay tried to book knebworth but couldnt manage it so instead they have opted for an alternative, namely wembley stadium!! Here is the relevant extract that is available on coldplay.com: You're playing in the UK right up to Christmas, with the last show on December 23rd in Belfast Yeah. And I would also like to do something on Christmas Eve, but I'm not sure if it's possible. I have to say, it does feel weird that we haven't been in Britain at all. Over the last week or so, the realisation of that has really hit. But I think next year we'll make up for it. Is that a hint towards future plans? Well, we tried to get Knebworth but it just wasn't possible. So we're having to think of something else. In fact, I think we have thought of something else. Hopefully we'll be able to announce it soon. And hopefully it's not the same day that Oasis have booked it. Although that would be a good double bill It would be a great double bill. And we wouldn't mind opening. I would also, funnily enough, open for Take That. We were in the dressing room yesterday and, for whatever reason, we started singing Back For Good. We sang the whole thing, word for word, with all the right chords on our piano, without having to learn it or anything. It was great. So I'd like to use this forum, the Coldplay website, to announce that if Take That want us to open for them, we'll do it. The only problem is that we'll have to get down the gym for a bit. But you do have more touring plans for next year? Yeah. Our touring plans are very much like Christmas presents that are wrapped, but you can basically see what they are. If you look carefully you can see the shape. And you can probably guess, "Oh this feels like a stadium". the reference to oasis just about confirms that it is wembley they are referring to. well unless he is talking about heaton park in manchester but i doubt that
November 14, 200817 yr Coldplay in Australia March 2009 Just got really excited at the news that we will finally get so see them live, but was shocked to see the possibility of $145 a ticket. Now I am not sure what fans in other countries paid, but I would love to see whether this stacks up in terms of fairness... So excited but angry at the same time, but also waiting for some more confirmation due out soon..
November 14, 200817 yr $145 a ticket is annoying because we were promised that we WOULDN'T get big ticket prices, and here we are with that figure.
November 14, 200817 yr Yeah and also I guess the fact that Kings of Leon are like $90... the Australian media will be ALL over it. Big day out tickets are $130 to see like 30 bands...
November 14, 200817 yr I'd settle for that. I haven't been to the new Wembley yet and I'd be able to get there by tube.
