Ken Nelson not Eno.

I hope that the next lp album WILL be the original coldplay producer KEN NELSON. pure rock

I doubt it, I think since they're trying to move away from the 'Coldplay trilogy' they're not going to hire the producer that worked on two of the three.

I don't think Eno should produce the next though, not that he did a poor job, but they leaned on him so much during this record I think.

i just want the old COLDPLAY back :(. KEN NELSON COME BACK. He was a musical genius

And I dont think Eno will want to do the next Coldplay.. I think :uhoh:

yeah, they've learned much from him, now they need to go further on their own. Wonder who they'll ask as a new producer though.. not sure they'll bring Ken Nelson back either. Advice will always be welcome from the two great guys but who's gonna pull the strings this time.. ?

COOOOOMMMMMEEEEE BBBAAAACCKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!

Hahahaha... I think Eno did help the band begin to really evolve their sound and it will be interesting to see where they go next... my guess is that they won't work with Eno again, they just used him as a jumping off point to go somewhere different. How's that for a diplomatic answer? :P

Jesus, get a room! :P

Ken Nelson's produced an awful lot of my favorite albums. I do think he's pretty amazing.. as much so as Brian Eno, only with a different approach, and a little less fame :nice:

(on the subject, it's like pulling teeth trying to find more information about him. i've got shopping lists longer than his wikipedia entry)

It'll be exciting to see where the band goes from here. They must have so many new ideas that've come out of all this. Whoever they do choose to work with should feel pretty lucky (:

no way back look to the future

I love the rough, raw vibe of Parachutes and I'd be interested to see what they came up with if he produced another of their albums in the future. My friend knows Ken's son. I think he's called Chris.

If it's going to be anyone they've worked with already, they should stick with Markus Dravs from what I understand of his role. Eno was more of a mentor while Dravs did the actual production work. I think the world of Ken Nelson, but they probably have gone as far as they can with him.

Honestly though, I want to see where they're going to go next. Now that Eno has taught them how to approach it, it should be interesting. Fingers crossed.

I believe they should get who ever they believe will give them the best sound.

I personally feel that Coldplay have been through the production process enough times to actually attempt to produce there own album....that would be a treat

*saucer eyes* does he really?

...have you got an address? :wink3:

:P

Please, please, please, please, please, Ken Nelson. I don't care for Eno every much.

Hm. R u GUYs saying U dont like VLV?

Hm. R u GUYs saying U dont like VLV?

VLV is OK, but it doesn't touch AROBTTH and X&Y. The main thing I don't like about VLV is the songs sound a little overproduced and impersonal. The songs just don't 'hit' me like their older music does.

i agree 100 %...i mean i love VLV but the other albums have sooo MUCH MORE emotion in them!!....i feel that music and with the new album i dont!!..but like i said I LOVE ALL THEIR ALBUMS!

I don't have Chris Nelson's address but I'll see if I can get it for you...

hmm. next time out i reckon it'll either be markus dravs or timbaland :laugh3:

dravs was the one who pushed chris on cemeteries. reckon he's the man for the job.

BUT if eno doesn't have anything to do with the next lp perhaps we can expect FAMOUS OLD PAINTERS on the PROSPEKT'S MARCH EP...am currently holding fingers crossed...uh oh, blood...

How about Phil Spector.

See I'm one whose kind of liking Coldplay expanding their horizons, and I think Eno really helped them do that. Would I mind if he did the next album? No, but I don't think even he'll want to.

I think Markus, like someone said, would be good, but I don't really want to take steps back. I obviously love the older Coldplay stuff, its what made me love them. But that doesn't mean I want them to be static.

Eno would be fine, but I think he'll be busy. Whoever it is, I want progress, not recession.
