i don't know what to do for my second postcard :bigcry:

 

and i have to print it out either tonight or tomorrow because i'm home and that's where the good printer is. i feel almost like this is an assignment for school that's due in a few days and i haven't even started it :P

I'll probably make one and buy one.. but I'm not sure yet :uhoh:

i don't even really have anywhere to buy one from. the place i live and the place i go to uni aren't interesting enough to merit postcards.

 

lore, if you have a printer at home, you can just get 10X15 cm cards and print them there. it'll probably be a lot cheaper that way.

Postcards from Far Away Project

Coldplaying.com heeft een interessant project gelanceerd. Je kan Coldplay een kaartje sturen door het ‘Postcards From Far Away’ project dat is opgezet door de site. Je kunt een kaartje sturen naar Coldplay, van waar dan ook ter wereld. Het project is geïnspireerd door het liedje 'Postcards From Far Away' dat om de nieuwe EP 'Prospekt’s March' zal staat dat in november uitkomt.

 

Het project is bedoeld om Coldplay te bedanken voor het geweldige jaar, met als hoogtepunten het 4e album Viva la Vida or Death and all his Friends, de aanstaande EP en natuurlijk de Viva La Vida tour die volledig uitverkocht is! De kaart kun je sturen naar een PO Box adres dat binnenkort gepost zal worden, en Debs Wild (de editor van Coldplay.com) zal de kaartjes aan de band geven.

 

Je kunt een kaartje kopen van je dorp of stad maar je kan ook je eigen kaartje ontwerpen, daar voor heb je de voorbeelden van hier nodig Op je kaartje kun je een persoonlijke boodschap schrijven om de band te bedanken, zorg wel dat je er op zet waar je kaartje vandaan komt (dus dorp/stad en land). Zorg er alsjeblieft voor dat je kaartje niet groter is als het normale formaat ansichtkaart; 10x15 centimeter (4x6 inches).

I suggested on the main thread, and others liked the idea, that perhaps we could choose the seal ourselves, either from all of those submitted (and they are all excellent so far), or from a group of the most popular - say, five (just for example). I don't think this lessens the impact of the project as a whole myself - it just brings more variety and colour to the postcards as a whole I think (which is exactly what the band are all about themselves these days).

 

Any thoughts? I post this again here because my original comment was probably lost among the hundreds of pages!! (And thus it's really a question about the suggestion :D)

ah well. i bet we'll get some soon.

 

i bought a postcard with butterflies on it today at borders, but that's not what i'm going to send. i FINALLY came up with a second idea.

 

AND i went to a craft store today and i found a hole punch that's in the shape of a butterfly and looks almost EXACTLY like the butterfly confetti from the concerts! (though a little smaller) i'm using the punch-outs to decorate my second postcard :nice:
