keep the ideas coming, guys! they're great so far. i love the flowers idea, i just wish we could somehow get it to work better.

 

i'm trying to decide exactly what my postcards should be. i know one of them will be this:

it's an old sig of mine, and i think chris would like it :P

 

for my second one, i made a "pretty" one on a postcard with a background of butterflies. with glittery letter-stickers, it says "so come over, just be patient and don't worry" and there are foil butterflies glued on too. but i was thinking i might like to send the obama thing in my current sig (though not the part with the blue writing and red stars, just the white part). but i feel a bit loserish having both my postcards being so political and so similar :lol:. do you guys think that's lame?

I don't think it's lame, but if you're just going to send one political one, send the Obama one. By the time they read them, Dubya will be packing his bags, so hopefully our future will be in safe hands.

 

You could put your "dreaming of the Obama sun" somewhere too.

good call. the problem is, i have the bush one printed out already, and not the obama one, and i wont have access to a good printer for a while. hmm.

haha, well he's still in office now, until january 20 :P. but i had that image up as my sig back in april, when violet hill was released, and even though someone is going to come in and fix it, or at least i hope he'll fix it, i think the line still applies. we wouldn't need a fixer for the future without a carnival of idiots in the first place :P

The PO Box for the project is meant to be ready by Nov. 21st!

 

So make sure your postcard(s) are ready by then to be able to be send off :)

I think she meant my adaptation of your fab flowers idea! I just worried about the flowers dying, so I suggested as we were all making paostcards for the band, why not make a paper flower for Debs and write a thank you note on the back.

I thought that as some coldplayers meet the roadies at the shows, they could (when situation explained) get an adress to send Debs flowers. Maybe we could even get a Roadie to give the flowers to Debs; for example if one of the English coldplayers could buy them and get to meet a roadie who'd deliver them (in the end of December), when the band has received the postcards.

It probably sounds unrealistic, but it was just my thought, if we wanted to give her real flowers. :lol:

does anyone have any ideas about a small thing we can do for debs? lore and i were talking, and she's been so good to us, has gone above and beyond the call of duty, so i for one think that she deserves something too. i don't really have any ideas as to what, though. i feel like buying her a present or something :D

 

really, though, most bands don't make a band super-insider this accessible, and even if they do, i highly doubt they're as willing to help us out as she is (if we overlook the fact that she was on vacation all that time :P). being able to talk directly to her makes the band feel that much closer, and that's something uniquely coldplay and uniquely debs. i think we should specifically thank HER for that too :D

its a reminder to debs that she made a hundred (or thousands or even millions) of Coldplayers happy!!!

i love the poster idea, but i think it would be really hard to coordinate :sad:

 

i also LOVE the paper flowers idea, though! however, if there was some way we could all get them together so they were all sent at once as a big surprise, i think that would be awesome :D. i'd be willing to collect them and send them off, if that works.
