He had a guaranteed $603,000 and he didn't take it.

God I hate this show. Hate it so much. It's people opening random boxes, I'm not even simplifying it there, that is literally what it is, then they go on about people "playing a good game" What the hell is that all about?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Agreed. It's irritating as hell.

Well you can be good at the game in the sense that you know when to quit. If you're good at doing weighted averages in your head, then comparing the result to the bank's offer, then you will get the most out of the game.

If I ever got on Deal or No Deal I'd just open all the cases in the order of their numbers, starting with 1. It would be the most boring game ever!

At least he still has enough for one-more-burger.

:lol::lol:, It's America you have to remember! :P

Randomness for you, when I was walking back from the Fleet Foxes gig last night to where I parked my car, someone confused me with someone who was on Deal or No Deal.

*end randomness*

I used to what it when it first came out, it's a game of pure luck, no skill whatsoever

^While I don't watch the show very often I think it's entertaining for the reasons Saffire mentioned...

In many ways it's a math game, comparing you're odds and also how much you're willing to settle for. It's a lot like poker actually, you calculate your odds and then decide how much stock you want to put in your chances.

Apart from with Poker you know what your hand sometimes is.

It's pure luck, there are no odds, no systems, no skills needed.

I wonder how much they get after taxes when they win $1. :(

Do you have to pay taxes in America on game show winnings?

I know it's one of the few things which are outside the scope of income tax in the UK

I'm not 100% sure, I know you definitely have to pay taxes for lottery winnings...not sure if that falls under game shows as well.

^ agreed. Joel McHale is a genius.

Deal Or No Deal is quite possibly the lamest "game" show of all time. A chimpanzee would have just as much chance of winning the jackpot.:dozey:
