I think that while they knew it was a great song with lyrics, Chris decided he didn't want his vocals on the first track of the album. Maybe they had always planned on releasing it eventually, just not as part of the album.

I love the artwork! Now hope they will release this as a physical single (and LiJ too), because those aren't as hard to get as those promo's!

Life In Technicolor is just simply a bloody brilliant tune and single. Best Coldplay have done since Fix You personally.

I wanna hear it on the radio! (though i dont listen to the radio that much)^^ :)

Radio Hamburg has already picked up the track (usually they are quite slow in playing new music) and played it last night but they also added it as a voting track for their chartshow 'Hot 20' :) :) :)

 

Anyone in (northern) Germany is asked to vote for them :)

In June or July I was there at the Radio Hamburg station cause I asked for informations about the concert tickets..

I also asked them to play other songs than Viva La Vida.. but of course they didn´t.. Finally they do! Yeah :dance:

They are on heavy rotation there, usually it's one song every 2 - 4 hours.

And it's not only 'VLV'. They also play 'Clocks' (of course), 'SOS', 'Talk', 'Fix You' so mostly 'newer' stuff but hardly anything from their first two albums.

 

I once heard 'Trouble' there and my heart went 'aaawwwww' :)

 

I'm not quite sure about 'LIJ' and whether it was acutally released as a promo to the radio stations in Germany. All I know is that Radio Hamburg had 'Lost' in their Hot 20 as a new suggestion (but it wasn't voted into the Hot 20) and that NDR2 has 'Lost' as a advertized new single on their website. Don't know how often they actually play it, as I mostly listen to RHH :)
