FANTASTIC!

It's moody and disturbing. Can't. Stop. Playing. It.

Sorry, it's just not that good.

3 for effort, though.

Im not a big fan of it to be honest. Kylie's voice to me isnt very enjoyable.

Agreeeed.

I like the music, but her voice ruins it for me. She could fit in with the music without sounding completely terrible, I understand her wanting the effect of discord, but she sacrifices the quality of the song. Chris is perfect in it, I think, but she...well...ick.

I can write about music like a dick too, maybe I should write for the Rolling Stone.

... Ugh, Rolling Stone :veryangry2:

I love Kylie, but she sounds so pitchy in this song!! Chris however....that voice is pure sex. Really, it's actually quite a sexy-sounding song. It's more a Kylie song than a Coldplay, but I think it sounds okay. :)

Redwire isn't working for me... I can't log in, no linky, etc :bigcry:

Same here, but it's up at the Red Msn page. I grabbed the link from the Coldplaying front page:

I need to listen more but I gotta go!

This song actually sends a chill down my spine at parts, and those really aren't the types of songs that I can listen to repeatedly, even if they're really good. Regardless, I plan on giving my contribution when the time comes.

Now the question remains about whether Coldplay will continue to feed us this steady stream of new material (there's still a good 5 Viva leftovers), or if we're now finally in the dark and stuck there for quite some time, forced to drive past songs into our heads (or God forbid, discover another band), lest we starve.

Dont like this one at all. Perhaps I'd like it more if it was all Coldplay but even so it wouldn't be a great Coldplay song.

I dunno. I will tell you that I was pretty close. You can see who it is if you click the number...

Well I gave it a two. Basically music should not be on a scale in my opinion, you either like it alot, a little, neutral, not much or hate it with a passion.

im at not much so i put a two...

maybe 3 would have been more appropriate.

sorry folks, just not feeling this song in the least. i dont like kylie.

It's odd.. it's different..

I didn't like it right off the bat. But it will probably grow on me. Songs usually do. :P

I think this song is some kind of beautiful. It's haunting and gloomy and Chris' voice is PERFECT. I love when he sings in that tone. I think this is the direction they should go in as a band (darker).

If someone could pm me a link that would be lovely.

Famous Old Painter...*hides from gunshots*

:laugh3:

Gah, If I'd known it was a public poll....

I'd actually give it around a 5 or a 6. Still not that great...

It was middle of the road for me. Seemed more like Kyle ft. Chris to me.

Truth is U2s song was way better! Its only getting me jacked up for their new album. Sorry Boys but Youre older brothers are coming home!

Wow, for once Chris Martin is taking part in something that is authentically musically different and intriguing. Sure wish more of this type of experimenting was on Viva.

Guys before you pass judgement on the song, please please make sure you listen to it at least FIVE times. Yes I know it sounds dumb but that´s how it worked for me and some on the forum too. The first time I heard it I was like UH? I hate this. Second time pretty much the same. The third time I started noticing the haunting chorus. Fourth time the song started creeping under my skin. After the fifth listen, I can´t wait to listen to it again! My point is: this is a song that needs a few listen as it is a lot more about the ambience and haunting effects of the voices and lyrical theme than it is about the melody. So give it 5 chances and then you can say you hate it :)

U2´s song was a cover .According to the description it is a song by Greg Lake. It does not tell absolutely anything about the songs in their next album :)

I thoroughly enjoyed the song. Chris was right in that one interview he did where me mentioned the song was "too sexy for the new album" or something like that. It's definitely different than the usual Coldplay stuff, and I love the new album, but I wish there'd been more stuff like this on the EP and album.

And is it me, or is his voice even lower in "Lhuna" than on "Yes"?
