pretty bad in my humble opinion!

...we have an awesome Killers song and U2 song to make up for the crap that is Lhuna...

 

Both tracks from U2 and The Killers are very much the same as to what they usually do; they're playing it safe in my opinion. After thirty seconds you've heard it all before.

 

Lhuna is dark and incredibly sharp :) the production on this song is fantastic; the vocals in particular are amazing.

 

Edit: Also - the new Jay-Z track is awesome :)

I like it, it's kinda spooky/sexy/mystical with a side of a suave club.

 

It kinda sounds like a Pink Floyd song though, and I'm not too fond of their droning sound.

 

Maybe it's just the "Hello" which sounds like "Is there anybody out there" could follow?

 

Their voices sound nice together, though I was picturing a collaboration to sound a bit more upbeat.

Wow... I just heard it... I'm not sure what to say! I think I have to listen a few more times before I decide anything. All I can say right now is that the beat is really interesting, and Chris was definitely right when he called it "sexy"!

I really can't believe the utter stupidity of hating this track. First off, last time I checked Coldplay wasn't just Chris Martin. Second, Coldplay experimenting with new sounds and paces is a GOOD thing, people. Everyone needs to get over this obsession with the old Coldplay and understand they aren't going to keep making the same damn music all the time. If you want that, just listen to their first three albums. It's about time they start moving on and using new sounds.

 

As for the track itself, I think Kylie's vocals work beautifully. I love Chris's lower register, too. I don't know why he doesn't use it more, along with the effects they put on his vocals. Great stuff.

i am astonished that so many people do not appreciate this song. i agree with chris and i'd think he knows what he's talking about when he praised this song. it is definitely too sexy for a coldplay record and better as a stand alone. listen to it on repeat for 20x (or more) and i think then you'll know how awesome and addictive this song is.

it is getting to me the more and more i listen to it. coldplay at its best is seductive, beguiling and completely slips in under your skin until you wonder how you lived your life without their latest song! :lol:

Hmm, okay, here's what I think (for now). I like the beat and the tune, but personally, I really feel like there's too much Kylie, even if she sounds great. I love the parts when they sing together, and of course when Chris sings, so I wish there was more of that and less of just her. That's just my personal musical taste and personality though, in no way am I saying it's a bad song. I actually think it's really cool! It's growing on me, as long as I don't view it as a Coldplay song, per se.

I love Coldplay experimenting...that is why I love VLV more than oolder albums and I love Chris in both low and high voice register. However I don´t particularly like the MELODY of Lhuna. As far as production, arrangements and the feeling of the song they are great. I just don´t think the melody is as good as Coldplay songs usually are.

Somebody put me out of my misery and tell me what Lhuna symbolizes???

the song starts off like trash, but picks up nicely.
