The Coldplay blog from the Esprit Arena in Dusseldorf has started following a bout of technical problems. Please join us now at the Coldplay forum here for all the discussions on the latest pictures, interviews, videos and updates from the live Coldplay Dusseldorf blogging!

Here are the latest updates...

22.52: Right then, we'd better say our goodbyes. Mr Phil Harvey (Coldplay's elusive fifth member) just passed by and said what an amazing show tonight has been. We'd wholeheartedly agree. Thanks for reading this (and thanks for your hundreds of emails). Hope we've given you a little flavour of what it was like to be here. G'night folks.

22.47: OK, it's Scientist now - so just LITii left. The crew are already lined up to start taking things down and we can see the cars ready to whisk us out of here.

22.42: How it looked during Lovers when the butterflies rained down...

Can you spot Chris's umbrella (ella, ella...)?

22.22: And here we have it! Only filmed 19 minutes ago... A mighty performance by the crowd.

22.19: Video coming (fingers crossed). Here's some C Stage pictures. We couldn't get very near, so the big screens helped out...

As we type this, about 50,000 Dusseldorfians (?) are going doolally to Coldplay's Billie Jean cover.

22.07: We're just trying to rustle you up a quick video of the crowd singing Viva. Standby...

21.57: B Stage action...

21.47: Some slightly more conventional shots of the show (which, it must be said, is proving to be something of a stormer)

21.31: Oddly, nobody's emailing in asking for mysterious silhouetted pictures of Guy and Chris performing. Ah well, sometimes you have to trust your instincts...

(from the stage - we rushed this one as you might gather)

20.40: Twenty minutes until stage time...

20:36: Aussie rockers Howling Bells only came off stage a few minutes ago, but Joel and Glenn from the band are already playing some (very competitive) table tennis. They say their show was "really good". Having watched some of it on our way up to the stadium summit, we'd very much agree.

20:29: Guy, Will and Jonny are currently in the warm-up room. You wouldn't really guess from these pictures, but they're actually warming up their voices - which they do before every show, by "laa laaa laaaaa-ing" along to a tape of warm-up exercises.

By the way, we wanted to send our very best wishes to Katrine Mortensen, who was apparently in a nasty car accident on the way to a Coldplay show recently. Hopefully we'll see you at another gig soon.

20.18: We hi-jacked this photo opportunity near the entrance to the venue. It just seemed too good not to.

20.13: This is how it looks from the very, very back (as requested by Marcus). Was it worth the Everest-like walk up there? We'll let you be the judge of that...

These, meanwhile, are German sausages - or wurst. They do sausages very well over here.

19:18: We just discovered this curious array of percussion in the band's warm-up room:

19.04: "What are the band doing right now?" Rachel W

They're actually in their dressing room eating their dinner. It's very quiet in there (we're in the management office next door). All you can hear is the odd "chink" of cutlery on plate. Not sure exactly what they're having, but think we heard Beef Bourgignon being mentioned at one point.

18:59: Several of you have asked us to give a shout out to Coldplay fansite Coldplaying.com (which seems only fair given the amount of shout outs they give us). So here you go... (thanks A or whoever it is!!)

18:37: Sorry folks that took a little bit longer than we thought it would. But you'll be pleased to know that Team Coldplay had a resounding victory over Team Coldplay Crew. Pics...

OMG I've gotta share this :

I showed this pic ( http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/gallery/data/1779/medium/20090827blog51.jpg ) to my best friend who isn't a Coldplay fan and the only thing she said was ''the drummer (?) has got really wet pants hehe'' AHAHAH (though I'm proud she can recognize Will)

EDIT : OMG I just made a Coldplay fan, she added she liked Chris' bum XD

I just came back home. One word: Amazing. That's all I can say by now. The band was brilliant and so was the crowd. Can't say too much right now, because I'm exhausted and I've got to realise what happened :D

The setlist was as asual, with one exception: Til Kingdom Come (with Chris on vocals) replaced Green Eyes.

I'm happy and tired , so good night everybody.

I´m also back at home already over an hour and I´m so tired but sad, because that was my last gig .. for now. My last gig with Coldplay.

When I arrive at the stadion, it was great. An nice view to the arena and above the street stands "COLDPLAY ->" or so on. :D Nice :P

But the parking-logic for cars is VERY VERY BULLSHIT! But, shit happens :P Lets go on.

On the way to our sits on the "Sparkassen Tribüne" we saw drink-stands where you can get drinks in special COLDPLAY-glasses (Glass of Water :P ). They´re awesome! But expensive. I have 2 right here at home :P

Then, we open the door to go outsite to the sits and open it... and are shocked! So amazing fucking big! Colourfull sits and so amazing. And then we saw the stage - amazing big as well. All amazing big but the people on the stage looked so small :D

Then, Howing Bells started their show. First, I saw the girl who's singing. She's cute :P And have a very nice voice. I am a drummer. Play myself at home and was happy aout the last 4 songs because they was more heavy to drum :P

Coldplay starts and I don´t know what to say. I was at the sky.. in dreams..in love... all together! It was awesome deluxe! The sound, the stage, the light-show, the fireworks, the crowd!

My favorit: Life in Technicolor (start), Lost, Lovers in Japan, In my place, Life in Technicolor ii

Does anyone find a big Coldplay Open-Air Placard around Düssedorf?

I have to sleep now... ;D

"Gutä Naachd" :P

OK I'm back guys :)

What can I say now - so much in my head right now!

Wonderful evening. Coldplay as good as we know them and maybe a bit better...the guys are so gorgeous and awesome, I've made a lot of vids...

I'm still so excited - not able to write everything down...

This was such a fucking amazing day for me!!!

The concert was great, I was front row, I met another nice Coldplayers and the best for me - I have Chris shirt!!! OMG, I have his shirt! Phil came to me during the show and gave me the shirt. He said, "It's from Chris for you". At the moment I'm the happiest woman in the world.

And I swear, this shirt you'll never found at ebay ;)

Now I wait for my train and tomorrow ............. Coldplay in Munich :)

weee I am back, too:D

first of all:

20090827blog13.jpg

This pic actually made my day...:wink3:

:P

what can I say?

It was definitely an amazing

the guys and esp. Chris were in such a great mood. That*s what I loved most. Oh and the normal version of The Scientist.

The crowd was amazing and Chris' german was amazing as well(esp. when he said we should a "Lola Welle"...)

Maybe I will write a review but I am not sure yet....

Ooooooooooooooooooh...how could I forget:

I made it to front row (in front of the left side of the stage...so the main stage was some meters away, but that was ok..I could see everything anyways....without any heads in front of me...)...I have waited for this for 4 years now and finally I made it...

I didn't have a camera with me, only my mobile phone. So I took some crappy videos...one of Viva La Vida where Chris is dancing in front of us at the end...I think I will upload this one...

and maybe I will also upload some of my bad pics.....

it is so strange....I am not excited anymore and I do not really feel like listening to Coldplay for the next few days...:uhoh:

but it was a great show and The Scientist and LIT2 actually made me almost cry

AWESOME! But it's kind of sad that they left out the song I've been looking forward to the most. I already heard them play Til Kongdom Come, but no Green Eyes. Anyways it was just ...wow. And I still hope for Wembley to hear Green Eyes and Trouble.

Also great was that I already knew some people from other concerts and got to meet some new ones. Hello to everybody I met ;)

I'm back from Düsseldorf! :D

I'm too exhausted to write a review right now, but the journey to Düsseldorf and back took ages. Lots of road works here and there thanks to the economic stimulus package. :wacky:

All I can say is that I managed to get front row thanks to the other coldplayers I met and a good shape haha. :) I had a very nice time and one of us got a lot of presents from the roadies afterwards. :D Chris mentioned at the end of the concert that everyone backstage said it was one of the best gigs they've ever done. :D It definitely was!

More to follow... good night!

PS: Schade Julia, dass ich dich nich getroffen habe. :( Hab dich aber am Gate gesehen, da warst du ganz weit vorne oder?

Yep I also get that (don't know if it was really honest :D) - whatever

I got stuck in the traffic too...

The traffic after the concert was the worst I've ever seen! I needed nearly an hour to leave the parking lot! :inquisitive:

Anyway, it was totally worth it! :D

of course, I had the stage trucks behind me and hoped that Coldplay would follow them - nothing...but in the end it was good because I would crash into the next car if I saw them...
