I waited 4 years for them to come back to Riverbend, they haven't played here once since then. Let alone in the Viva La Vida tour. I didn't bitch and complain everytime they booked a place in London or Australia or Asia or Europe or South America. It's not like they'll NEVER play South America again, you just have to be patient.

And it's not just US people saying that. That's stereotyping.

 

I haven't seen anyone else complaining because we want to see them in southamerica and we talk about it... people from everywhere has been saying that they should come here... we complain and talk about it because when they release a new album we don't know if they'll come here, it's not like they come here with every tour.

They say they want to though! They're trying to! But getting upset at them isn't going to make them come any faster, that's all I'm saying

This is outrages.. hahaha people complain about people and now we can't complain about how it hasn't been possible for the band to stop by even though we are in the right place to?:laugh3:

BUT THEY AREN'T FORGETTING YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's obviously tougher to play in South America! That's why they (or many bands for that matter) don't come there that often. They're WAY more accomidating then most bands are. And they only announced 1 show at Riverbend in 4 YEARS! It's not like they're playing there once a week!

You're not really getting it. Some people on here are upset with Coldplay and are making it sound like they don't wanna play in South America and then don't. They've said they do, there's rumors that they will but then they got denied at one place. I guarantee you that they will play somewhere in South America. You won't get skipped, they wouldn't let that happen. They know how loyal the fans are there and wouldn't just "skip" it.

we make fun of it saying the thing about the cats and the maps, we are upset sometimes but we can make fun of it too! and yes, as viri said, most of the times we are sad, because we feel we are 2nd category fans, always being the last ones to see them (if we're lucky enough t see them).

I'M not upset. And yes it is sad. I want them to play in Antarctica and Hawaii! I want them to play everywhere, so everyone can enjoy there music. They're trying their hardest

we are as cool as every other fan in the world, but we don't receive the same... that's why sometimes we think that they just don't care about us that much. It's not like in the US when you can go to see them to another city or Europe, where the distances are short. If we want to see them, we'd have to go to the US or Europe and that's really expensive for any person here considering the currency and things like that

Ok... just for a second imagine that Coldplay didn't go straight away to tour in your country (not the city you live in... your COUNTRY), and you got to read all this cool stuff about the setlist & the stage and the effects and lasers and whatnot. Then the tour ends and they DO NOT go to your country. Then like 6 months after that they decide to go there, only that as the tour was officially "over" the gig is lacking all the cool stuff you only got to read or see in other's people's pics, 'cause they didn't bring it to your country. Imagine the VLV tour without the butterflies, the balloons and the cool stage. That was Latin America's Twisted Logic "special tour"... the 3rd world country tour :dozey:

 

And it's fine, we're happy to just have them coming here with or without the cool stuff.... i just think it sucks that we're always left 'til last. And it gets annoying to see them perform in so many places while we just wait. Like we always have to. And i'm sorry if you don't agree, but i guess you're just gonna have to ignore my sig :wink:

I don't think there really is a place to play in South America that would hold all of the "cool stuff". And one place that will, apparently won't let them play there. Just for the record, there are plenty of venues in South America that can hold all the "cool stuff". And please just because that refusal news don't come saying that now we are the ones who won't let them play. Venue problems happen all over the world, and producers are used to deal with it. That's their work. As said before we weren't part of Twisted Logic Tour. We were left out. The special tour came after totally unnexpected and with no guarantee that would ever happen again. We were afraid of being left out again, since they've been touring for a long time and are already recording new material (isn't it a sign they're moving to another step?). They've booked North America dates twice, while we haven't had a single chance of seeing them in this tour. And if they're not coming to someone's city, they're coming to a city nearby so the possibilities are much higher than for someone in South America to travel to North America or Europe or Australia and so on. Many people in this forum have many dates in their signatures and we all are very happy for them. But we have the right to be upset and feel left out, to want A SINGLE date nearby. And if you say that you could easily get over it if you were in our situation, I'm sorry but we can't and I hope you respect that.
