@ Nathan

Yeah, mine is similar to yours...not really a best ever or anything. Just an "at the moment" type of thing.

For LCD Soundsystem I was deciding between Us v Them and Get Innocuous. I didn't even include any Pink Floyd or Porcupine Tree although there are some long songs by each I like.

Someone Great - LCD Soundsystem (i know it's not quite 7 minutes but its sort of close)

On Repeat - LCD Soundsystem

Around the World - Daft Punk

The Island... - The Decemberists

One Day Like This - Elbow

Knocked Up - Kings of Leon

Where you go I go too - Lindstrøm

Colours - M83

Touch Me I'm Going To Scream Pt. 2 - My Morning Jacket

Dondante - My Morning Jacket

Bros - Panda Bear

Heron Blue - Sun Kill Moon

I Am Trying To Break Your Heart - Wilco

Pass The Hatchet, I Think I'm Goodkind - Yo La Tengo

The Tallest Man, The Broadest Shoulders - Sufjan Stevens

Hmm those are the only ones I could think of for now.

"Welcome To The Machine" -Pink Floyd

"Warehouse" -Dave Matthews Band

"Stairway to Heaven" -Led Zeppelin

"That Was A Crazy Game of Poker" -O.A.R.

"Voodoo Chile" -Jimi Hendrix

"Motion Picture Soundtrack" -Radiohead

"Time" -Pink Floyd

"Like A Hurricane" -Neil Young

"Layla" -Eric Clapton

"The Rain Song" -Led Zeppelin

no real order

other than sigur ros and classical music:

kashmir

stairway to heaven

uh

paranoid android mega remix

I found it kind of interesting radiohead doesn't have any 7+ minute songs. I mean MPS technically is...but it isn't 7+ minutes of music.

yeah... well unless you count the live version of Everything in it's Right Place from "I Might Be Wrong: Live Recordings". it runs at 7:43

^ True... I was thinking more along the line of studio-album versions. Just since some stuff live gets a few extra minutes tacked on.

oh ok

Master Of Puppets- Metallica

One-Metallica

The four Horseman-Metallica

Everythings Not Lost- Coldplay:P

I take it the time for everything's not lost is with life is for living added...Apart from exceptions like that and MPS, I was surprised to see zero 7+ min. tracks between radiohead, U2 and Coldplay. Whereas Sigur Ros has buckets full. Everytime I switch from something like svefn-g-englar to LIT, I get a headache from the faster speed...

Eric Clapton Fan here - Layla - not acustic - live version - there are so many

Bad Timing - dEUS

Emotion Sickness - Silverchair

Caramel - Blur

Citizen Erased - Muse

Champagne Supernova - Oasis

No Danger - The Music

Evil Dildo - Placebo

Buena Vista - Gomez

Anything from Zeppelin or old school Metallica

My all time favorite song over 7 minutes long is:

David Gray: Say Hello, Wave Goodbye (from "White Ladder")

then:

Everything's Not Lost by Coldplay

They Dance Alone by Sting

When Angels Fall by Sting

Appalachian Springs by the Verve

most of my favorite songs are on the longer side, 5-6 1/2 minutes... but I never realized just how few of them are over 7 mins! If this had been a six minute thread, my list would have been MUCH longer.

Cool thread!
