umm :thinking:let's not generalize here about us americans.. thank you very much. Most if not all US Radiohead fans know a lot more than the two songs mentioned. I for one am a HUGE fan and have the full catalog of songs they have and have been heavily following them/seeing them live for several years now.

I'm not talking about US Radiohead fans, am I?

Of course Radiohead fans are going to know more than two songs.

it would be pretty damn cool if the came out and rocked paranoid android

that would fucking rock

but they won't, Thom Yorke hates OK Computer

HOC...

cuz that's what they are nominated for.

I'd die to see them performing Bodysnatchers or Weird Fishes though.

Voted for Jigsaw, but hoping they play Reckoner.

But yeah, House of Cards has a pretty strong chance too, since they're nominated for it. On the other hand, they are nominated for album of the year, so it's not like they're there for only one song...

I love how much discussion Radiohead makes on this forum :P

there's a high chance of being house of cards, its a good song but not the best off in rainbows, so I'm not voting yet

Be sure to vote BEFORE they play :P

I actually voted what they should play imo. I know it's will but oh well. i'm stoopid.

I voted Reckoner... why, I really don't know... is somewhere in the middle of mellow and rockout, I guess. But rockout is good too... Jigsaw or Bodysnatchers or 15 Step or whatever.

Like someone said ... they should play Exit Music, which is one of my favorites... but after them not being allowed to play should play as slap in the face of Grammy producers. Just not do it in sound checks then go on stage and play it ...oh, yeah, that would be like "Thanks for having us, now we will finally play that song you didn't like" :P

^me too. I really didn't feel like putting thought into it. xD

Your avatar and sig are by far the best on the forum

House of Cards is the most logical option, but I'm hoping for something a bit wilder.

Also, in regards to that discussion a few posts ago, House of Cards and Creep are the only Radiohead songs I've ever heard on American radio.

Aww, thanks. I love The IT Crowd. xD

I should've clarified. I was on drugs.

In general, most Americans will probably only know the songs "Bodysnatchers" and "Creep."

"Bodysnatchers" gets played on the radio and stuffs because it's a bit more of a conventional rock song, as Young Mr. Briggins put it.

I actually want to hear "15 Step," but that wouldn't be a really WOW OMG song to play...

Here in Boston I hear a bunch of Radiohead songs on the radio all the time. Creep, Fake Plastic Trees, High and Dry, Karma Police, Optimistic and Bodysnatchers are played regularly. I also hear Paranoid Android, Knives Out, There, There, and Go To Sleep but with less frequency.

I think it might be 15 Step ...now that I heard some of the drumline from USC is practicing to play with them.

wow talk about an inside scoop!!

I voted House of Cards but now I hope this is true!!!

i reallyyyy hope they dont play house of cards! it's the only IR song i haven't really connected with yet. i would love to see jigsaw or weird fishes.

haha today i was listening to HTDC and i thought how funny it would be if they played that. one of their saddest songs.... "i'm not here, this isn't happening.."

^^

i stil think Exit Music would be the coolest and get the biggest reaction. and how about Street Spirit haha!! or even better 2+2=5 with a huge pic of Bush in the background.

They'll play 15 Step.

So, yes, as the title of the thread states, I'll be performing at the Grammys this Sunday (Feb 8) with Radiohead. They got rid of their drummer and needed one for the performance. Instead of just hiring a studio drummer, they decided to get a drumline from a marching band (in this case, from USC), and some brass instruments as well. The stars just happened to align just right for me to end up being able to do it. We've already had a ton of rehersals, and we have at least more two hours every day until Sunday, all for a single 3 minute song. I think all the extra work is actually just making me more excited about it. We're going to rehearse with Radiohead for the first time tomorrow night.

I'll be the tall white guy in the middle of the line of trombones (right in front of the tubas, behind the middle bass drum). The Grammys are this Sunday (Feb 8), and start at 8:00 pm Eastern (5:00 Pacific, you other two time zones can figure it out from there). From what I've been told, we're the opening of the show.

And this

Thanks guys! Tonight was our first rehearsal with the band, and it went really well. I'm even excited about it now than I was before, which is kind of saying a lot. They added in a part where we all yell "yeah!", so I guess technically I'm doing back-up vocals for them too! : )
