Coldplay Live DVD 2008

 

Will Coldplay be releasing a DVD on their tour soon??

Yeah, just like the last tour when they had that whole contest to have people film it from different vantage points.

 

Just becuase they "were filming" last night in chicago, I wouldnt by any means bank on there being a DVD released for fans.

but then they filmed Toronto before and that never materialised on DVD

I would assume they were filming a video for a song. Or a dry run for a future concert.

 

Bono said the we're filming line here in Vancouver in 2005 but it was only for the City Of Blinding Lights video/a dry rehearsal for the Chicago shows that were eventually released.

 

Coldplay had full intentions to release How We Saw The World Live In Toronto. Last moment they backed out for whatever reason. Probably their insecurity with X&Y as a whole. One I personally have never entirely gotten. It was shown on various music channels though.

 

Before playing Fix You he also said "Thank you for an amazing show we'll see you in 3 years with great new songs and great new haircuts" Thats part of many reason i feel they felt the show didnt live up to par.

 

I fully expect a Viva Tour DVD. Where they will film is uncertain. But quote me on this.

 

THERE WILL BE A VIVA DVD. It doesn't make sense to not. Money wise i speak unless it turns out that they are again unsatisfied.

^ The toronto show is fully filmed and ready for DVD. They play it on MHD on Verizon Fios a few times. It is just like any other concert DVD, and opens with "How We Saw The World. Pt 1". I think they will release it soon. Ive got it on DVD too. Gotta love DVD burners.

All I know is they played lost! twice in chicago because they were filming for the music video (like they did with fix you). I really hope we see a dvd this year because it's been a healthy five years since the sydney DVD...two more albums have come out, and with all the changes they've made to the show in all this time. It's a good time to put out a nice high quality live DVD.

I'm hoping they do bring out a DVD!!

just so the people in chicago didn't have to be annoyed by the camera crane thing for nothing!

I was there for the July 23rd show and they did tape the entire concert including two rounds of Lost,Chris actually explained and apologized for repeating themselves but trust me it was nothing to be angry or annoyed with!It was truely amazing

I really want to see a DVD. The concert was remarkable.

I hope they give it a miss! It will be hard to beat 'Live'. It would need to be pretty substantial gig-like at least 20 songs. I would imagine a Wembley Stadium, London type event. It has to have a unique quality, looking at the set-list, reviews Chicago wasn't it!

^ the How We Saw The World Tour was AMAZING. I think it ties 'Live 03'. They filmed it in Canada.

dude you werent at the chicago show. It was amazing. People complaining were in the nosebleeds. Nobody was sitting except for the very top sections.

i hope for a DVD release for this tour i don't know from which place may be from Chicago?

 

because they actually filmed it there and i stopped looking for videos on youtube because they'll release this show as a DVD and i want to see it directly as a DVD.

I read that the new dvd on tour would be from Toronto. when I saw the principal page this morning and I saw how spectacular was the show it reminds me my interest on get a new concert on DVD. They didn't have one since 2002!!! In those 6 years i only could watch them on live in a "concert" the last week on the BBC show and the quality of sound of the public tv in spain was :cry: . I just ask for listen to them with high quality and a concert of more than 1 hour!! Do you know something about that?? answer me please!!thanks!!

They really need to release a Blu-ray with DTS-HD MA surround sound.

Yeah, Like i said earlier. They have the toronto show taped and ready to go. They just need to release it.

Chicago (7-23) was great. The big crane camera thing was moving during the whole show...

Is Coldplay going to come out with a dvd from a concert from the VLV tour? That is definatley something I am going to buy if they come out with something. Or will they wait and use the Wembley concert for the DVD?
