I always have the same difficulties with bying for men. I'm already thinking about what to give my brother... his birthday is april the 2nd! Until now I want to give him the new Franz Ferdinand cd, because I know he likes the band.

 

My dad is the toughest one; last time he said he wanted to be surprised and didn't have any wishes. Doh! You can't think of anything that man needs that he doesn't already have. :rolleyes: I came up with giving him a digital photoframe with my sister. :\

I find the digital age of downloading is really ruining massive options to buy presents for people, especially those the same age as you. I cant buy anyone I know a CD or a DVD because theyd never use them, they'd just as easily download it in a few hours.

 

And of course with CDs theres that feeling of "I just paid £12.99 for someone to burn this disc, in a case with artwork, to their computer, and then chuck my present in the attic to gather dust."

Anyway, what you get a guy is dependant on what thr guy actually likes. If it's sports, exercise, chess, video games or crochet, you can go down that route. But there aren't a lot of gifts short of fuzzy underwear that's applicable to all guys.
