When i watch videos off of Youtube and free tv and movie websites, my computer suddenly turns off. :confused:

 

I was on my computer just watching a video on Youtube and then my computer shut off on me for no reason. I tried turning it on but it wouldn't power up so I took the sides of my computer off and cleaned out the interior as it was a little dusty. After that I tried to turn on my computer again, this time it turned on but then it turned off when it was loading windows.

 

I left my computer for an hour, and I tried turning it and it works. :dozey:

 

Nothing happened if I don't watch videos :\

I used Kaspersky before but last week my bro changed it to AVG.

Are you sure your cpu is cold enough inside? I had kinda the same problem with my old PC, I always cleaned it up, but it still crashed very often.

 

In the end I have to change its 200 Mhz down to Mhz 133 so that the cpu didn't get too hot.

 

Well I'm not a compurter pro, just a thought I had :P

If you're concerned it may be a virus, download and run Adaware, Spybot Search and Destroy and CWShredder, in addition to AVG. Better safe than sorry!

As you're obviously from malaysia and have tropical temperatures throughout the year I'm 90%ly sure, that your PC is overheating. The time the PC takes until you can switch it on again is the time it needs to cool down again to moderate temperatures.

 

Is it really warm in your room? How old is your PC?

 

You might be able to see the core temperatur of your PC in BIOS - but that's a bit tricky. You can also try finding out temperatures with a tool called Motherboard Monitor.

 

The best way to get rid of temperature-problems is to install a secondary fan (it's not expensive... but if you have no experience with fiddling in the inside of computers, let someone else do it!) and/or to move the PC to a cooler spot.

My pc is 4 years old, but I didn't use it really often since I have a laptop. My laptop is currently at a service center so I have to use this pc lol

Well judging by those pictures of flames by some of the results, I'd say your PC looks a little too hot for comfort!

yup...

 

Temp1 is the temperature of your CPU - and 62°C is definitely too hot for a 4 year old PC.

As suggested let someone install a new secondary fan into your pc and/or move it to a cooler spot in your house. I wouldn't use it much until the problem is fixed, because one day your PC won't turn on again :\

The new fan itself is not very expensive - 10$ maybe. Don't know about the service cost but that shouldn't be too much either.
