Well it's pretty clear for once!!! We had to find hidden messages in the code source of the web pages before... :lol: Way more tricky!

But then it'd be a Coldplay song surely...? Not an Apparatjik song.

 

Appartjik are not about catchy pop melodies or making straightforward radio hits...that's not what the guys are in it for.

 

It's fine if you don't like this one song, not everyone will like it, but please don't expect an album's worth of Ferreting.. :P

 

btw, we weren't offended... it's just that Chris gets enough attention as it is, Guy's off doing something wildly different outside of the Coldplay box and he doesn't deserve songwriting comparisions with Chris Martin, is all.

Don't worry! I severely mis used the name of Chris Martin as though as if I was saying the 3 members of Apparatjik weren't capable of writing a decent melody. I'm not a Coldplay fan just because of Chris Martin, despite me thinking he's one of the most beautiful songwriters to have come out of the British music scene. I too am irritated that the other 3, especially Will, doesn't get the attention HE deserves and hasn't got the chance to write songs of their own for the song! I know exactly how you feel. This song won't put me off - I'll be intrigued when Apparatjik's album comes out. And lets hope for great reviews from it, because it does sound like a lot of effort has gone into this project. Sorry once again for the misunderstanding.

The song? Yes it is Guy Berryman involved in the project but the song lacks a seriously good melody. I like a good melody and they need a Chris Martin spark of genius.

 

IMO the song actually has some really lovely and cool melodies in both the parts. They're just a little more complex.
