Hi all. Just wondering if there was anyone else out there who is a "coldplay couple". by that i mean...you and your boyfriend/girlfriend are both crazy coldplay fans. im sure there are many out there so please share your story here, just for fun.

 

 

 

 

My story is as follows:

 

In high school a boy came into the classroom I was in and sat with one of my other friends across from me. I had never met him before, but he was in my grade. He was listening to his mp3 player and one of my other friends asked him what he was listening to. He said "Coldplay". I looked around at my friends thinking they had told him Im a crazy coldplay nerd and now he was just making fun of me. But he showed me and he was actually listening to X&Y (the new album back then). So at that moment I, of course, fell in love with him. especially since he was the only other person in the world I had ever met who was an actual coldplay fan (not just downloaded the singles heard on the radio). Then he started singing "swallowed in the sea" to me just for fun.

 

Anyways, that plus other similarities brought us together and we became friends.

 

When Violet Hill was released on coldplay.com I downloaded it in the morning and brought it to school and we listened to it together for the first time. We both agreed chris sounded abnormally angry. lol

 

Last year when Coldplay was doing the pemberton festival in BC I wanted to go, but had no one to go with, so asked him to come with me. Of course I basically begged him cuz I realy wanted to go. In the end we couldnt go but he had considered the fact that maybe I liked him as more than a friend since I had chosen him. And I had told him that one day he would have to go to a coldplay concert with me.

 

After that summer he finally asked me to be his girlfriend. Now we are a "couple" and one of my girlfriends said she knew it would happen ever since we started to discuss coldplay together and it is was meant to be. lol

 

And we're going to the vancouver coldplay concert together this summer :)

 

side notes:

 

finally we have decided which coldplay song will be "our song" and we picked "postcards from far away". (He wanted Rainy Day but I said that song was too good and if we broke up it would be ruined for me forever :P)

 

and the plan is....constant coldplay at our wedding! :D lol (even if all our guests hate it)

I'm part of a Coldplay couple, however, I'm more crazy about them than my husband. But, he still thinks they are great and we go to their concerts together.

Well my ex and I used to be a coldplay couple..............

but he hated any kind of alternative/rock music not really coldplay per say and me that kind of music was all I was into...so he played the snoop dog while I played coldplay and cranberries. goo goo dolls, collective soul and smashing pumpkins among many others.....then one day we we're driving in his car and we'd had a big argument over some stupid girl so we were both silent and not saying a thing and then YELLOW starts playing on the radio and he goes.......I

 

'm not into this kind of music but these guys the ones who sing this song and i think some other called touble they're pretty good and I started to laugh because I'd been trying to get him to listen to them for the longest time.....

 

After that we made up .... :wink3: . When he got to my house we went up to my room and I put in my coldplay CDs and he fell in love with the group there and then........

 

sometimes he would call me when i was coming out of a class and just begin to sing part of some coldplay song to me.....I especially loved hearing him sing swallowed in the sea and FIX YOU...........and boy could he sing.......... all my friends would roll their eyes and tell me how insanely jealolus they were of us as a couple having so much in common.........

 

We broke up last year after 12 years of being together and when we did he sent me a letter saying he was sorry for everything and a CD he'd made with 4 Coldplay songs in this order...........1)swallowed in the sea 2)Warning Sign 3)The Scientist and 4) The Hardest part......... Me ..I cried my eyes out.......... It was kinda sad because we were both still in love with each other...

 

 

That was and still is the sadest day of my life............. we had made plans to go to a coldplay concert this year together...........:( now I'll be going with my cousin instead who i had to beg to come along.......

Yeah Lizzy it was sad because we broke up........and it reminded me of the part in FIX YOU that says when you love someone but it goes to waste.....what could be worse........that's exactly how I felt......................

 

found out that he went out got drunk and slept with some girl stupid and he says he's sorry a million times but he threw 12 years down the drain .oh well.............

I am yes. Im the crazy one about Coldplay. She doesnt mind them, we are also going to the Vancouver concerts, and she would have gone with me to Pemberton if she didnt work.

 

She cant listen to them like I can. Sadly she is the radio singles type of fan. Her best friend is the one I can sing, say Green Eyes at. We share a common love of Guy. The sexiest member of Coldplay.

 

Right now though, I am seriously doubting we'll make it till the end of the week let alone the concerts in late June. Im going through personal stuff, and she just isnt able to understand it, I get mad and I think Im falling out of love with her.

 

So Im listening to a lot of Coldplay as a pick me up right now.

We are a Coldplay couple, although I confess that I dragged my husband into my addiction, though he loves them too! We're actually a Coldplay family as my 10 year old and 4 year old love them too. Family outings in the car are a fun affair, as there is never any discussion over what we listen to! ;)

 

Anthony Martin recently looked at me when my husband was standing next to him and told me that I had a 'very understanding husband' LOL! Next time they tour Aus, we are going to every show in every city together. I cant wait!
