March 27, 200917 yr Coldplay have decided to take a break because they fear people are getting bored of them. The group have postponed plans to begin work on the follow-up to 'Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends' to figure out which direction to take their music in next. Guitarist Johnny Buckland revealed: 'We ended up doing much more touring than we originally planned so there's no time to do proper justice to a new project. And anyway people may need a bit of a break from us. 'We're taking a little break and let's see where we get after that. We've got a lot of ideas but we want to find a new way to go and that may take some time.' Johnny also spoke out about the military-style uniforms the group have donned to promote the album and accompanying tour, and claims the band - singer Chris Martin, bassist Guy Berryman and drummer Will Champion - hand-stitched each one. He added to Time Out Dubai magazine: 'Guy came up with the direction. Then we all got together in our studio to work on the outfits. We had someone who helped us make the jackets and trousers. We made them ourselves. We really wanted this whole album to be homemade again, we wanted to take it back and have it all come from us.' http://news.id.msn.com
March 27, 200917 yr Oh, I'd personally never get bored of them, but I do think indication of them already starting serious work on LP5 sounded a bit hasty. You can't expect to churn out a winning album once a year. It takes time, so while a postponement may disappoint some, I'm confident it's for a far better product in the end.
March 27, 200917 yr These guys take a break? No way. They are workaholics. They never take a rest (they should take one, though, after all this touring)
March 27, 200917 yr only thing im bored with is WAITING for LP5:( ok boys-break over, now back to work:whip:
March 27, 200917 yr I agree. But I hope they're not away for too long. And I hope they keep us in the loop of where they're at. It sucks when their website just goes silent for long periods of time. They should have a break for awhile, but maybe release something small just to keep us all sane :D
March 27, 200917 yr Yeah, that's what I was saying in the original thread. If this live album does eventuate, it would be a really great thing to tide us over between albums. But they really should take their time.
March 27, 200917 yr I am actually excited, I reckon a break is in order to sort themselves out, take a bit of time for themselves, and bring out a corker of an album in 2011 :D :D!! I think in July last year I screengrabbed a calendar and highlighted something like 23rd Septemeber 2011 as my prediction of the next album's release date :laugh4: :P.
March 27, 200917 yr they should take their time, seriously. good albums dont just come out easily... btw min, i think we did talked about the LP5 when u were in sydney right? what we've predicted turned out to be true, they wont produce it that early...

March 27, 200917 yr Didn't johnny say something about a live ablum coming out in the near future. That would be a dream. Then LP5 out next year.
March 27, 200917 yr hhhhhhmmmmmmm maybe thats their way of saying that they are onto a good thing and stop while the going is good!!!!!!!!!!! wonder if it will be 10yrs in the making this time for another CD:smug::laugh3:
March 27, 200917 yr I think it's a good idea for them to take a break rather than rush into producing something which might suffer as a result.;)
March 27, 200917 yr I blame Miley Cyrus for scaring them away.......................... hur hur hurrrr
March 27, 200917 yr You can't expect to churn out a winning album once a year. . Queen did. The Beatles did... But there has never be Coldplay's way of doing things...They need time and I prefer them to continue to do so and have a masterpiece in my hands ^^
March 27, 200917 yr Guitarist Johnny Buckland revealed: 'We ended up doing much more touring than we originally planned so there's no time to do proper justice to a new project that's what happens when you tour USA like 20 times  everyday I'm more dissappointed

March 27, 200917 yr all I post in the coldplay section are complaints  but it's true, he can't say that! it's their fault to go to the same place 10 times instead of going to more places... I know it's their job and they want money, but if they come to latin america probably they'll sell out all the tickets!.

March 27, 200917 yr haha I wish I could, I'm sure they'd have really expensive tickets, but I don't care... I'd go anyway! they are really famous here
