May 4, 200917 yr I think the next Coldplaying.com poll should be 'Who will accuse Coldplay of stealing their song next?' totally! ;)
May 4, 200917 yr It's always fun when Cat Stevens voices his opinions, especially when he calls for an author to be murdered. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bD9w3rU5McA]YouTube - Yusuf Islam/Cat Stevens "jokes" about Salman Rushdie Burning?[/ame] Rarrrrrrrr. Silly man.

May 4, 200917 yr I had to go nearly 4 minutes into the song before I heard bits of VLV, however, it seems there are LOTS of songs that sound similar to VLV, so how come Cat Stevens isn't suing Satriani for using that same chord structure, or Enanitos Verdes, or Creaky Boards. This is getting ridiculous. It's all because those people want money. They see Coldplay as a huge cash cow and they wanna milk it. Greed.
May 4, 200917 yr I think its a designed thing. Joe's one and Yusuf's one are similiar to Viva La Vida but if you search more deeper Joe's track is similiar to another track And to discussing this is very unnecessary. They dont want Coldplay's success. Its the aim of who envies Coldplay. But They cant be successfull because they dont know to be a Coldplayer...
May 4, 200917 yr GOD i hate people like this. want to get money off of other people's talent. fuck 'em. :dozey:.
May 4, 200917 yr Cat Stevens, buddy, you're about a year too late... Plus, Smelliani already beat you to it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Realli, how many people are needed to jump Coldplay??? :mean: Im mad!!!!!!!!!
May 4, 200917 yr So, the list of people who accuse Coldplay: -Joe ZOMG WHEN I HERD IT IT WUZ A DAGGER THUR MAH HEART" Satriani -Cat "I'm old and need some dough" Stevens -Alizee "I'm a nobody French singer who wants to get known" -Creaky "Chris Martin would really waste his team coming to see my band play" Boards :laugh3:

May 4, 200917 yr let me analyse this: The Viva-Chords Cat Stevens <--stolen-- Joe Satriani <--stolen-- Alizee <--stolen-- Creaky Boards <--stolen-- Coldplay <--stolen-- ? Who will be next?
May 4, 200917 yr I'm going to shoot the next loser who claims Coldplay copied them! Why is he accusing Coldplay and not Satriani? NONSENSE!! Total nonsense. >:( >:( >:(
May 4, 200917 yr I think as more of this crap comes up, it only helps CP in the Satriani case with the whole "lacking originality" thing.
May 4, 200917 yr Ok on a very serious note did he make this accusation on April 1st cause I am Lost........... what song is the song he's claming sounds similair ???????
May 5, 200917 yr Holy crap! They don't have nothing else to do than trying to piss CP off (and maybe [unfairly] get some money), do they?
May 5, 200917 yr As I read the title, I was like "Yea, whatever ... god damn, here we go again ..." Who'll be the next challenger at "Coldplay's next plagiarist" (a casting show like America's next topmodel )? This is getting REALLY ridiculous now ... :dozey:
May 5, 200917 yr It really sounds nothing like it....even if it did sound the same (which it doesn't), big deal? SO many songs use the same chord progressions. Look at this YouTube video, it's 30+ songs using the same chords. Sidenote, that video is very good. I think I recognise one of the comedians in it too. CONTINUE!
May 5, 200917 yr It is, noonsun, 'tis It fortifies the "lacks originality" claim but at the same time enables Satriani's lawyers to go "LOOK! Someone ELSE says that they stole it too! Cat Stevens! Ha-hah!" So it's sort of a double-edged sword in a way
May 5, 200917 yr It is, noonsun, 'tis It fortifies the "lacks originality" claim but at the same time enables Satriani's lawyers to go "LOOK! Someone ELSE says that they stole it too! Cat Stevens! Ha-hah!" So it's sort of a double-edged sword in a way It wouldn't help Satriani's lawyers to say that though. Cause if they're stealing from Stevens... there's less chance that they stole the same song from him.. Or at least that's what I think. Then again, I'm not a lawyer. In case you thought I was or something.
May 5, 200917 yr I feel so bad for the boys right now. Fat Stevens is merely jumping on the bandwagon and hoping that he'll get something from slandering Coldplay! The stupid thing about it is, with ANY song in the world there's bound to be another song with the same combination of chords or something.
