Corkus
Absolutely. I've seen several folks call it the weakest track on Parachutes, but I prefer it to probably half the tracks. It's a rather toned-down listen, but the gentle tune really sucks you in at the beginning.

noonsun
I agree also. I think it's the only song on Parachutes with that REALLLLY early Coldplay "sound".... does anyone know what I'm talking about?

MasoKnight
Yes, definitely. I think it suffers b/c of its placement behind all of the singles. It sounds a bit flat after hearing Spies, Yellow, and Trouble.

And yes, that's also correct. Also, I rather like We Never Change, but it's not SUPER AMAZING or anything
Lyric
High Speed is underrated. It doesn't deserve the kind of hate it gets.
Corkus
"We Never Change" is definitely my least favorite song on Parachutes, and even though I don't dislike it, it doesn't come close to the serene beauty of "High Speed". Lyrically, both songs are okay though nothing special, although combined with the "living life inside a bubble" line repeated in High Speed, I always envision a gently blowing field with surreal orange bubbles floating upward when listening to it. forcin
High Speed is my favorite song from Parachutes, always reminds me of the ocean for some reason  But it's sublimity personified!

I Bloom Blaum
Do you agree? YES. High Speed is amazing. One of my favourite early-Coldplay songs! Plus, being as it's the only song from their previous works to make it onto Parachutes is pretty awesome. :P

I Bloom Blaum
Don't Panic did too. Different versions, but still. Exactly: different versions! :P Don't Panic is a lovely song as well. I prefer the Parachutes version to The Blue Room one though.
Cobalt
High Speed = ownage and highly underrated. If you all must ask, it conjures images of a sunny day in a city and being trapped inside a bubble with many others in their own. :P EDIT - Floating. In the air. Whee. KingChris
I disagree, i think songs like Don't Panic, We Never Change, and Spies are better. But that's my opinion.
