Have a look at http://www.tfl.gov.uk!!

There's a journey planner explaining everything.

It's easy:

From Wembley Park Station take the Metropolitan Line (purple) towards Aldgate.

Change to Piccadilly Line (dark blue) towards Heathrow at King's Cross St.Pancras Underground Station and leave at the next stop: Russell Square!

Someone could please resume the situation about this picnic (place, time)?

i think everyone is focusing on the whole queuing issue at the moment, until that's solved i doubt things will get settled here.

Would be fun, aslong as it's easy to find since I can't find anywhere in London :p

hahaha, London is not that bad to find things. I'm hoping it will end up being at Russel Sq, since it's a smaller place and easier for everyone to find each other.

Does anyone have an idea of what the cheapest way to get around is? I find all these tickets and day cards confusing...

My sister and I arrive to Gatwick airport the 18th (12:25) and leave from Stansted airport the 21st in the late afternoon /evening. We're going shopping on Monday, so we need to get around. I don't think we'll be doing much Friday (unless there's time for us to get to the coldplaying meet up at the Bakery?) and Saturday we only need to get to and from Wembley Stadium (a 40 min. walk or 1 stop with the tube). [/a little off topic]

So Russel Square is perfect for me as it's not that far from St Pancras :P

Though I don't have any idea of the distances in London... is there a kind Londonian here ?

Anyone know what time we're meeting and where in Russell Park?...how would we find each other?...I actually haven't met any Coldplayers in person...but would love to connect,..now that I'm here :)

Any thoughts would be much appreciated! :D

Haha, well I'm a kind Londoner (although I don't live in London any more )

Russell Square to Kings Cross/St Pancras is one stop so about 2 mins on the tube or 10 to 15 mins walking!

Hi!

Buy an Oyster Card when you arrive in London and put some money on it.

No matter how much you use the public transport on one day, you never pay more than a day ticket (daily price-cap).When you leave London you can go to a ticket office and get back the deposit for the card and the money that's still on it.

It's a credit-card-sized card and with that you touch the sensors at each entrance and exit of the tube, you can use it for some rail services and buses of course too.

To get to Stansted: Don't take the Stansted Express but a Terravision bus (a lot cheaper):

... plus it will only be a small footwalk away from our hotel ;)

So settle it for 1 pm then?

And btw. to make more people showing up ... I have brought over 4 packets of Jaffa Cakes (Rasberry & Cassis) :)

If the meet up isn't set by Thursday, I'll end up eating them all by myself ;)

Russel Square is easy enough to find :)

The tube station gets busy at times because it's lifts to the surface.

Thank you so much Carol that's perfect !!

I think I'm gonna walk, now the tube scares me :P

Btw... is 1pm @ Russell Square settled now??

Think it's fixed, okay? Russell Square @13.00 sounds good.

I'll be there with my friends... See ya!

edit: not sure if we can make it, but we try our best...

Hi can someone please post a map and directions to the meetup, I need to add it to the first post and also change the title of the thread. I should be back on line in a few hours :)

Is this one any good?

Here's another one:

I think it's very close to the tube station (on the Piccadilly line )

It looks like..." If wet, in the British Museum! " :)

Plannned engineering works on Sunday, not involving the Russell Square area.

The Jubilee line around Wembley for those with hotels in that area is suspended but there are other lines to come in on. You just might have to change lines a bit more or take the scenic route on the replacement bus, but it's all good!! You get Jaffa Cakes and Cornish chocolate chip cookies at the end!! :)

2 more are in. We're from Portugal and we'll be staying @ Smart Russel Square (I think it's very near ;) ).

PS: We have 3 spare tickets to the concert on the 19th, so, if you are interested...
