Echo And The Bunnymen have announced details of their forthcoming (eleventh) studio album "The Fountain". The UK act also confirmed several live dates in the UK. "The Fountain" is the band's first studio album since 2005's "Siberia" and will be released on October 12. A single, "I Think I Need It Too", was due to be released in August 2008 (!) but will be released on September 28, 2009 instead. The album was produced by John McLaughlin in the Parr Street Studios in Liverpool. Coldplay singer Chris Martin has collaborated with the band on one of the album's tracks.

New Echo & The Bunnymen - "Do You Know Who I Am" The first official taste of Echo & The Bunnymen's long-awaited John McLaughlin-produced Chris Martin-featuring 11th album The Fountain is clearly rhetorical, but hey. Familiarize yourself with the question at www.bunnymen.com just in time for their APW appearance.

i've listened to the song a few times and can't really hear him, you can listen to it here on their website:

This is of MUCH interest to obtain as only this very day I think "I wonder if ANYTHING EVER could make ruin of the REVERB and his BUNNY MAN for me?" And now I have known.

Sounds like he's only doing the backing during the chorus.

Thanks for posting this.

i'm starting to wonder if he even sings on this track? the article just mentions he's featured on the album, doesn't specify which track though:thinking:

The backing vocal does sound like him:inquisitive:

I dunno. The backings sound nasally like Chris.

But I'd rather have him actually singing words on another track.

I think Chris is the backup vocals...I think

I'm pretty darn sure its him.

That's Chris singing in that song. No doubt in my mind.

Ooooh I can't decide if it sounds like him or not. It's nasally like Kiran said, but I'm still not sure it is him...although it's only backing vocals it sounds as if it has a Liverpool twang to it to me...

Maybe there are 2 backup singers? It does sound like Chris in some parts.

if anyone cares, Chris sings on the title track of the new album, i still can't hear him though.

The title track provides a welcome and instant injection of interest as it features Coldplay’s Chris Martin sharing vocal duties and his woody tones work really well alongside McCulloch’s. This is a good song and you may even spot a few hallmark Coldplay chord changes in here.
