besides. even if HE doesnt think it's good, that doesnt mean WE wont.

and i've been wondering...what if Will says absolutely no to a song, but, say, Jonny or Guy really like it? what happens then?

I remember the oracle saying that sometimes Will's vote is so powerful that it will once in a while override what the other three want!

they should just let us Coldplayers hear the songs, and then we will decide whether or not they should be released.

of course, then everything would probably get released. :P

I always have faith in Will's decision...

He only wants the best for the band so yes for Will's seal of approval!

Yeah, maybe the songs are just awful, who knows... I would rather not hear a crap Coldplay song, although I don't think ANY Coldplay song could possibly be crap :P

That is interesting about what the oracle said! :uhoh:

Will is ALL powerful. He has the brain and the muscles. 200%

I think he only gets the "all powerful veto" when there's real indecision, and he only uses his "power" for good, not evil;).

And on songs like Clocks and Strawberry Swing, for ex, I'm sure his initial disapproval only led to them working on it some more, and then we ended up with the great songs we know&love!

Updated the first page with all our hard work! Keep it coming!

So far, Will is not doing so well - he's been giving his seal of disapproval a little too early to songs where he changes his mind on their final versions

That's such a Chris-reply! :laugh3:

I am reading this interview at the moment and thought this belonged in here:

MARTIN Whenever I try and name-drop in a song, Will [Champion], our drummer, always tells me I've got to get rid of it. There's a few times on this album where I tried to sneak in a name of somebody or some literary reference. And it's always the drummer who's like, ''Uh, can you change that, please? It's pretentious.''

EW So the band has some lyrical veto power?

MARTIN Oh my God, they have all the lyrical veto power. Particularly Will.

EW And they have a no-proper-names rule?

MARTIN No proper names. I managed to get Japan and China in there, and that was struggle enough. I think it's a healthy thing for a band or a songwriter to be surrounded by ''no''-men. They very much have power. But then I have the same power over drum patterns. That's why it takes us two years to make an album.

Ahhh I love that there's always exchanging of power between the two of them...

It's very healthy for the band
