September 2, 200916 yr ^Ah, yeah that'd make more sense...tnx ..kinda defeats the point of the live lounge tho :( but still should be beautiful stuff. :heart: She played Strawb Swing as the bed during the announcement today which was nice..but I've yet to hear that song played in full on radio 1...coldpay are a bit neglected on that channel lately.. Edith Bowman plays it occasionally. The BBC were accused of favouring CP though, not long ago, maybe that's why all this has been scaled back.

September 2, 200916 yr Author i was just listening to the show again and i dont think it will be pre recorded...it is the live lounge tour so they be moving around to places...BUT they are doing a cover of a song so i wonder wat they will do :D....any guesses? EDIT ALSO:- Jay-Z is doing live lounge as well on the same day...at Jo.W house!!! the sme day!! so coldplay seg it might be pre recorded :s
September 2, 200916 yr I think the whole favouritism thing about Coldplay & U2 did probably scare the Beeb - they've had so much criticism over the last year they have to be careful. But also, how long ago was that first announcement made? Perhaps it was before they knew Jo Whiley's leaving date - I guess everything has to be fit around that - and you can't blame the woman for getting excited about having Jay-Z round to her home! Maybe Coldplay & Jay-Z will do something together...

September 2, 200916 yr I can actually remember an article in the musicweek a while back which said that Radio 1 will have special from Take That Wembley gig, U2 Wembley gig and Coldplay's. I know they did something with Take That which was also pre-recorded and aired at Chrisl Moyles breakfast show. not sure if they did something with U2 but as far as I remember the Take That stuff was just annouced like in the week leading up to the gig. Guess the live lounge thing could be pre-recoreded but wouldn't be suprised if they went also to Jo's house, they might be busy that day but so is Jay Z. Guess we have to wait and see. P.
September 2, 200916 yr From the way she was wording it I'd say I'm almost 90% sure it'll be pre-recorded. It was "We'll be broadcasting an interview with Coldplay and then Jay-Z is live from my house" It'll still be new, but I'm pretty sure not live. It's Coldplay's show, not Jay-Z's so I imagine Chris has got all of Friday ear marked for obsessive pre-Wembers prep :P
