i think X&Y was fantastic. Parachutes specialised in aucostic guitaring mostly, apart from Trouble and Everything's Not Lost. AROBTTH introduced Clocks and The Scientist which included piano, and X&Y involved electric guitars. So if Coldplay decide to make a ii of any of these fantastic albums, i'd quite happily listen to it.

I sure hope so too, but there's a massive chance that any of the demos (or any other new songs we've heard) won't be on the next album considering that they were origionaly written for viva.

Yeah, exactly. Remember that podcast from way back when? Chris and Will talking about "if a song doesn't make the first album, there's absolutely no chance it'll make the second album." Or whatever. There's no way they're using Viva leftovers for LP5.

Well, if there's one thing we've learned it's not to listen to everything Chris says ;). In My Place is from the Parachutes sessions and during the South Bank show interview Famous Old Painters is on the list of material :)
