THEY PUT THE WORLD IN A TIN CAN.

I hate country. They give the old country guys like Bob Dylan or Johnny Cash such a bad name. And they're both amazing. I feel bad for them.

edit: Do you not like Yes, Alexa? Sniff.

I like Cemeteries Of London, Violet Hill, and Yes off Viva, but that's it.

Lauren, I'm sorry to tell you this, but they're calling the God of country for a collaboration.

Also, they're doing a song inspired thanks to Eminem's first album and a 2 part song that sounds a lot like Taylor Swift.

:bigcry:

let's not joke about things like that :P

Sorry :P

I have this strong feeling that I will love LP5, but again, I don't want to be all excited and then get another Viva.

I want another X&Y :cool2:

Not that much. I don't like certain parts of the song. I love when CSC starts :wacky:

But... it's all Middle Eastern n shit. :(

I like it, anyway. :wacky:

The violin bit in Yes drives me bonkers. Hate it.

Life in Technicolor, Lovers in Japan, Strawberry Swing, and Death and All His Friends are all ace tracks IMO.

Funny how this kind of conversations are made on the lounge and not the Coldplay section

the coldplay section is just for sexy pics of the band members these days

I dislike the screens on the Live 2003 DVD. I don't know why. It ruins the DVD for me...

The music is <3 though

...and I also think that X&Y was put together badly because they were pressured to make a HUGE album to follow up 2 brilliant ones. I guess this is the same for Viva but meh.

I think Viva is great except for VLV, Violet Hill, Yes and Lovers In Japan (the album version...)

The others are <3 :P

I think viva la vida is a great pop song (especially the live versions), but I think I've heard it too many times

for me it's boring :(

Ah I love Chinese Sleep Chant.

I was quite disappointed that they stopped playing it live bfore coming to Australia.

ohhh that reminds me that one thing I hate about coldplay is that they haven't changed the setlist in a lot of time

CSC is beautiful because it stands it such contrast to all the songs around it. Just a straight up, no frills guitar song with great chords and melody. its a real relief from the twangy dissonances of yes, and the complex production of tracks like viva la vida. Also great that its shoegaze style puts Chris in the background so you can take a break to just take in the noise and beat.
