Aww, the thing is: there's an ignore thread option, and no one is really forcing you to look at certain silly threads. I don't know about you guys, but one of the reasons I come on Coldplaying is because of the relaxed atmosphere... if we start being strict and bossy with acceptable topics to talk about, where will the fun go?

 

I mean, it's great to have some sort of standard, but it's important to not go too far and remember it is just a forum. :nice:

Ok so...i would love to sometimes rip into some of the annoying uber fangirls on here creating these threads, but also rip into the prude's ^^ cough cough too.

Coldplay means lots of things to lots of different people. We should all just accept that EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT. Some people are all about the music, others have crushes on certain band members, others are a mixture of lots of things. Instead of being uber-unfriendly and saying dont do this your blah blah blah is too big whatever, just dont comment. Didn't our mums always say if you haven't anything nice to say, don't say it at all? Does this forum always have to be drop dead serious? There are loads of silly threads on here that have been going for ages, yet none of you say anything about them. I have started silly threads. FFS life's too short and lets just all have fun. One of my best friends has cancer and you all make a song and dance about silly things. Just embrace all things Coldplay and make allowances for whatever makes other users happy.

 

Oh and another thing...I think we should all remember that the written word can sometimes be very hurtful. Think about what you are writing as you hide behind your computer...would you say that to someone's face?

You're so absolutely right. I agree to the point that we should have more discussions about the music but that has nothing to do with the "silly" threads. Most girls just love good looking boys - that's just human nature and when Chris is running on stage topless he delivers the material to us....:D. I think also serious bands are admired by a lot of women, so it's not just a "Jonas Brothers-phenomen".

 

Why shouldn't people just have fun here and admire the really adorable guys who we all love?

This year I had a serious operation, the 18 year old sister of a classmate died in a horrible car crash as a front-seat passager and the driver did not have any serious injury and another class mate has leukemia at the age of 21 - all this made clear to me that we should really use everyday of our life to have as much fun as we can, hard times will come for sure, so just enjoy the easy parts of life.

It's just the same story every time. Newbs post useless threads, somebody complains and some start defending the OP.

 

I am very skillful at ignoring useless threads, and they die eventually. But I have the right to express my opinions on them.

 

New users will, I hope, one day learn more about what to post and what not to post. For example, I don't get this thread, because we already have separate threads for posting pictures of Coldplay members.

 

If somebody is offended, try to get over it. Like I said, watch and learn. This IS a happy place, but everybody has to make some kind of effort - if useless threads are posted, there are people who aren't happy with it.

You're entitled to your opion of me, as am I my opinion of you. We are all different. That's what makes the world turn.....

 

FWIW I am not interested in CAJM's crotch anymore than I am the rest of the bands. Never has been. Their music means the world to me, and that's all it's ever really been about. The fact that Chris is pleasing to my eye is just a bonus. ;)

Their music means the world to me!It hurts to be told that I only like the band because of their looks.

 

Their music has brought me through some of the hardest times in my life!

It's brought me through my Uncle's death,my Aunt's cancer battle,my Dad's surgery,my Cousin's near death experience and numerous things.

 

I myself am also a serious musician,but I just wanted to have a bit of fun.

 

I'm sorry if I offended you and the other Coldplayer's who have been here much longer than I have,I really am.:\

 

My life is so serious and i've had to grow up much too fast.I look forward to coming to coldplaying because everybody here seems like a big family and it's the only place that I can actually act like myself without being judged.
