I'll be alone and I'm planning to arrive very early this day because i'll go to the 6th march concert also but problably I'll go with a friend who doesn't like to do lines and be standing for hours in concerts so this will be my only chance to see them in the firsts rows... so It'll be great if I met someone of you because it would be extremely boring be alone for 12 hours or so :(

^^^

That's exactly my situation. On the 6th I'll have to deal with my sister and cousin, who I'm guessing are not big fans of waiting in line for hours :dozey: so I'm definitely going to this one early. Angie and Kirsten are probably gonna be there early as well, so maybe we could all meet there :nice:

The British rockers will close their world tour in three cities of the Republic

The title of Coldplay's fourth album, Viva la vida or death and all his friends, and part of the concept that inspired the content of this emerged in Mexico during the last visit of the British band the country (in 2007).

This after singer Chris Martin take the name of one of the works of Mexican painter Frida Kahlo ( "Viva la vida" 1954), for its then new sound creation.

Hence the English group led by Chris Martin has decided to close its world tour in Mexico next March.

"The group's concerts in Mexico itself is a tribute, so we decided to end our tour there as a tribute to Frida (Kahlo) and that fantastic audience, undoubtedly the best in the world.

We considered the possibility of an inflatable with the figure of the artist and put it on stage, "Martin said yesterday during a telephone conversation with the local press.

Coldplay offer two concerts at the Foro Sol (6 and 7 March), one in Guadalajara (March 9) and the high end of its current tour will be held on 11 March in Monterrey.

In fact, the spokesman for Oxfam also welcomed to learn that the Blue House of Frida Kahlo has received more young visitors from which premiered his album Viva la Vida or Death And All His Friends.

Commented that it has been very motivating, especially for many children, know the work of this legendary Mexican painter.

"The Blue House is undoubtedly a wonderful museum. Those blue walls are actually very inspiring and all the work of Frida, when I saw Viva la vida painting was a fantastic moment, because from there came the magic of this record, "said the Briton.

Said Chris Martin, who was a partner with actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who does not know what may weigh more, being rich or being famous.

"It depends on you to become rich or famous, if you become rich by stealing walk or ride famous drunk, then it makes little sense."

British interpreter adds: "We are grateful for being in the band, thanks to our work, we have made fame and fortune. When we started the project by Coldplay (in 1997) was never our goal to become rich or famous, but making music, "said the musician and composer.

But if a gift could have brought fame to Martin was a chance to be immortalized in the popular TV series The Simpsons, whose chapter "Million Dollar Maybe", the singer and his bandmates Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion offer a private concert for Homer and Bart.

"It was amazing to participate in the series of The Simpsons! We are fans of the show for years, so it was an honor to call us, "he said.

The demands are unconcerned

The Briton, who announced that he and his group and began working on what will be its new record production (fifth in study) for seven weeks, also spoke about the demada that brought guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani.

In December 2008, Satriani Coldplay sued accusing them of having plagiarized his song "If I could fly" to compose his smash hit "Viva la vida".

In addition to Joe Satriani, Yusuf Islam, formerly known as Cat Stevens, also publicly announced that "Viva la vida" looks too much like her song "Foreigner Suite", though he has clarified that not sue Coldplay for the moment.

"Some people are calling us now and although at first it was a bit depressing, now it has become really inspiring," said Chris Martin.

He added: "When the band started, people told us we were going very well with our songs, and suddenly we accuse. I do not really care about the lies that we are told, is that now when we're famous, then come the critics! Again, I do not care what anybody says of the band Coldplay because negative things are posted every day. Just something that does not interest me. "

Found this interview of Natasha Khan, she talks a bit about how she feels about opening for Coldplay in LA, and how she got the job :D

Here's the original article

Natasha Khan in Coldplay's target

10 years ago Natasha Khan was for the first time in Mexico, on vacation with her boyfriend. During this

trip, the lead singer of Bat for Lashes, had her first encounter with Mexican culture, and was fascinated.

Now in 2010 the British singer returns to Aztec lands hand by hand to Coldplay and to fulfill one of her dreams: to play on a big stage like the Foro Sol.

"I'm a little nervous, I know it will be a great show with Coldplay. In 2000 I had a great holiday there, I loved it. This time I'm back to fulfill my dream of playing on a big stage, it's a huge challenge but I'm very excited", Natasha said by telephone from London, England.

Although she's been told that the Mexican public was very difficult, the nominee for Best British Female Solo Artist for the Brit Awards did not think so, so she accepted Coldplay's invitation to be part of the Viva La Vida 2010 tour, in its Latin America stage.

"Chris Martin invited me personally to be part of their tour a while ago, but I couldn't do it because I was presenting Two Suns", her latest album.

"At the end of that tour Chris told me he loved my record and he wanted me to go with them on tour, and I accepted."

"In the end we decided it we would play together on the American tour, which will be great because here in England is freezing and raining and the weather is terrible and I think going there will be great both by the climate as for what we're doing, I am very glad this is happening", said the sympathetic British.

For Natasha, the fact that personalities like Martin of Coldplay and Tom York of Radiohead applaud her work is somewhat flattering, but she keeps her feet on the ground and continues working.

"It's flattering but at the same time it's a bit crazy to think that someone so successful thinks that about me, I feel ashamed and I can only say thank you. It's something I don't think about that much because in the end we are all humans and we all try to do a good job.

"We support each other, and when they show me their support in this way all I can do is be really grateful because musicians are like family," reflected Khan.

For the concerts on 6 and 7 March at the Foro Sol, Bat for Lashes will present her album Two Suns, as well as performing some material of Fur and Gold, her first production and which was also nominated in two categories for the Brit Awards 2009.

As for awards, Bat for Lashes is not worried as with only a couple of albums they have been nominated twice for British music awards, however it's something they don't seek and only enjoy.

"I'm still in shock because it's my second album and for the second time I was nominated for the awards, which is pretty crazy, especially since there are other girls in my cathegory that are popular in England and have big selling albums."

"It's very funny to be with so many great artists around parties and red carpets, it's fun to be with them drinking champagne."

"Ten months ago I didn't expect it because I was working very hard with this album and suddenly to be in the midst of a glamorous atmosphere in which everyone dresses very elegant, contrary to my image, it's fun," concluded the artist.

Laura....My hubbie & I will be there early, and I've pm'd Pris to make contact while we're there too. I know Angie & Kirsten are planning on front row for the 7th as well.

I'm a little nervous because I'm unfamiliar with the Latin America crowds -from last nights show it sounds like it was a little rough down in front but we'll definitely try to all hang together in line.

It makes it much less boring (and sometimes a little helpful if you need to scoot out of line for a second, you've sort of got a place holder.)

Hi Kelly, very good you are coming too, now it seems that here are several persons who will arrive early for this day, I hope that we all could meet and enter the concert together.

And yes, in my experience I can tell you that General Admission concerts here in Mexico City could be sometimes a little bit savage, it seems that people are very passionate and want desperately to get to the front row and therefore there is a lot of pushing, but don't worry I have survived :P and I think that if we are several persons it would be a lot easier

I think Angie, Kirsten and Kelly have been so preoccupied with 'other' Coldplay-related 'stuff' that they can't be bothered to tweet - they are just enjoying themselves. Frankly, I'm not surprised they aren't spending the time to update us, well from what I have been told by Angie so far anyways. I'm sure they will fill everyone in soon
