You are very lucky to meet them at the Beehive. While looking at this I found it very funny that advertisment showed up on this page for bee removal and others to do with bees.:lol::chris:

+1 for more Coldplay Karma. Sweeet pics !

Anna and Imke- Congrats!!!! That's so cool! Everyone looks lovely (you two as well, of course!) and very happy and laid-back. Can't wait to hear the details. Hope you loved Matt, Dom and Chris, too!! :D

@ Craig- congrats to you, too! Getting to chat with them for the second time like that must have been thrilling!

Anna, you girls look fantastic in the photos.....(and seriously, wouldn't it have sucked if you had those great pics with our gorgeous boys and there you were looking like total crap!!!)

Well, no worries, they are awesome pics.

Can't wait to hear the story!!

AHMEGAAAAH! :awesome:

I think I just died.

Congrats, Anna and Imke!

Awesome awesome awesome. Just awesome. I'm so happy, and I didn't even meet them! :nice:

CONGRATULATIONS GIRLS!!!!

lucky you!!!! :)

and thanks 4 those AWESOME pics ! !!!

(GUY :freak:)

You girls are so beautiful, thanks so much for the pics!!! JUST AWESOME!!!

OMG I can't believe I've met someone who've met Chris, Guy and Phil!!! Sorry, this is so overwhelminggggggggggggg :bomb::bomb:

I can't help to find it kind of cool that these media go to coldplaying to get true news. :awesome: And what impact Craig has! He's indirectly mentioned in the media. :P

F-f-f-fffail :awesome:

Oh yes, indeed.

I wonder if Craig realized his little FYI would go this far... hopefully he's okay with it.

I'm thinking exactly the same. I hope for him that it does not change his "relationship" with the band.

[...]Putting it in a thread/on the forum meant only the fans were gonna read it.

But it's much more public being on the front page tbh. :/

Anyway, tbh it can only be a good thing, with some people still expecting an xmas release. Now, they are not! ;)

I'm glad that you can look that positively upon it, Craig. :)

Kirsten, you have some good points.

SO jealous ladies, great find! :D Good to see them busy at the studio. :D

Obviously not that busy!:P

I'm thinking exactly the same. I hope for him that it does not change his "relationship" with the band.

For a moment I thought the same...

I know, you’ve all been waiting to hear our story, so sorry again that it took us this long, but please remember that we were in London to see Muse and not to meet Coldplay. :freak:

I’ve been spending the last days with going through pics and vids from the concerts and tried to remember as much as I could.

Luckily Anna already wrote down most of the things that happened in front of the Bakery while we were waiting at the stadium so here’s a joint effort to tell you everything that happened:

So ... uhm ... where do I start?! Right, okay, so Anna and I met up at London Victoria station, my flight was delayed and she was running through the city all morning trying to find us some stuff for the concerts.

We also had to wait ages until I finally got my Oyster Card ... it all seemed annoying at that time, but looking back now, it was just perfect ... without the delay, the following things would have never happened.

No matter how much you pay, you could never ever find a better city guide in London than Anna (I am not kidding).

She suggested starting our little tour at the Bakery to be done with it and then go straight to London Eye as both places are on the Northern Line.

We both hadn’t eaten anything since the early morning so we bought some sandwiches at the next supermarket and got into the tube.

On our way to the Bakery we walked across the building that was possibly the Beehive, I didn’t really follow the discussions on the board about it, so I was surprised that it’s located so close to the Bakery.

There’s a bench facing the Bakery on the other side of the street. We sat down there and enjoyed our late lunch.

Anna had just tweeted this pic of us ...

londonthebakery09091000.jpg

... when I noticed someone coming from the Bakery and walking across the street.

Anna was looking down and talking, so she didn’t see him, but I immediately recognised Phil (you could spot those cheeks from miles away xD).

I was too shocked to move, so all I did was kicking Anna and saying her name. Then she saw him too and at first we hesitated, but then she called him and ran after him (a few seconds later and he would have disappeared into the Beehive already).

I was way too confused, so Anna already started talking to him while I was running up and down the sidewalk, because I forgot that all our stuff was still lying on the bench.

At first I only took my bag, so I had to go back once again to get Anna’s stuff. Quite embarrassing, but I can imagine that Phil is used to worse.

Anna did most of the talking, haha, I’m really shy when I have to talk English, so it usually takes some time until I really start saying something.

Phil was very nice. He asked us where we came from and what we were doing in London.

When we said that we were there to see Muse, he said that they were going as well, on Friday.

Anna asked if they would be in the pit, so Phil answered that they were probably going to sit in a box, because of fans.

Anna then said “Because of fans like us”. I think Phil realised that she was only joking but Anna still thinks that this was way too embarrassing, hahahaha. :awesome:

We talked about support acts as well and Anna said that she's particularly looking forward to White Lies.

Phil said that they played last year's Wembley shows so Anna said that was where she first saw them and then went to other concerts to see them again.

The next thing we were talking about was Phil’s shirt. I didn’t recognise it, but Anna said he wore the same one during the LatAm tour.

I think I said something like “Fangirl” to Anna at that point, not sure if Phil heard it though. :shame:

He seemed a bit embarrassed and said “I need to go shopping” with a smile ... I am so happy that I kept my mouth shut, because I was about to say “Me too, me toooooo”. :uhoh:

Phil then asked us how we knew where the studio was and if it was on Coldplaying, he also told us to keep it a secret.

We briefly talked about the War Child gig as well where Phil was on the balcony and talking to the Cpers after the gig.

Anna’s last question was something like “Can you tell us anything about the new album?” and Phil’s reply was “We've all been away for a while but now we're back working on the new record.”

Then we took our pic …

philbg.jpg

… and off he went. We didn’t really check if he went into the Beehive, but I guess he did.

We were way too happy and hyper and were just trying not to freak out while he was still around.

We sat down on the bench again and tried to comprehend what had just happened.

Jokingly Anna said that I should check the sidewalk coming from the Beehive, just in case that more members of Coldplay might be around, but heck, we were already so hyped about meeting Phil and didn’t believe in that really. One tweet and one cigarette later, Anna suddenly said “CHRIS” though.

At first I didn’t realise what was going on and thought she was talking about Chris from the board (Jayzo), because we had been talking to him via Twitter, but then I saw that Chris Martin was just crossing the street in front of us, possibly coming from the Beehive. :freak:

Anna called his name out loud and he stopped immediately when he saw us.

We were still on the other side of the street though, so he told us to be careful and not to cross the street right now, because of the traffic.

It was too cute, haha. He then told us to come over to him, when it was safe ... he had been watching the traffic all the time, just to make sure, that we don’t run in front of a car.

So once we were on his side of the street he shook our hands saying “Hi, I’m Chris, what are your names?”

We’re both still trying to get over the fact that Chris Martin shook our hands! :freak: (We’ve actually been joking about never washing our hands again the whole day. :P)

Chris said that he’d love to chat with us, but that he would have to pick up his daughter, but he still asked us where we’re from and what we were doing in London.

We said that we were in London to see Muse at Wembley. He then said that he was going to see them too on Friday and that he was really looking forward to it. I think he asked us if we were going on Friday too and we answered that we were actually going both nights.

Anna then started talking about the Muse gig in Paris and wanted to say that the Paris gig was one of the best, but it sounded as if she said Muse were the best ... I was already thinking “Uhoh, you’re just talking to Chris Martin and you’re saying that Muse are the best”, but then she noticed it too and added “But nothing tops you guys!”. :awesome:

She added that she saw them 8 times already (I was about to say that I’ve only seen them 3 times so far, but heck, it was Chris Martin and I was happy that I was able to say anything at all in that whole conversation) and said “So I guess I’m one of the crazy fans.”

There was a huge grin on Chris’ face and he said “No, no, crazy is good!” :wacky: He then asked us if we wanted to take pics so we tried it, but when I took this pic of us ...

chris02.jpg

... my brand-new camera almost fell to the ground.

Chris tried to catch it and said “Careful!” He then suggested to take individual pictures, so I gave Anna my cam and Chris was putting his hand on my shoulder. :dead:

Anna wasn’t any less nervous than me and said “I might be shaking”. Chris answer to that: “That’s alright!” (That might explain, while he’s smiling a bit on my pic, haha.)

chris01.jpg

Then Anna handed me my cam and I took a pic of her with Chris ...

chris03.jpg

... such a sweet pic.

What we both didn’t notice at that time was, that someone was sitting on the steps of the Beehive in the background.

Chris said he was sorry, but that he really had to leave to pick up his daughter, but we should definitely talk to “that guy over there”.

He pointed at someone on the other side of the street, but we both didn’t really get what he meant at that time.

He pointed at us and then pointed to the guy sitting on the steps to signal that we would be coming over.

We said bye and one second later Chris was gone.

Only then we noticed that this guy was not some random guy, but that GUY.

We tried to remain calm and were going towards him.

Guy sat on the steps of the Beehive and talked to someone while smoking a cigarette.

We actually felt a bit bad for bothering him, because it looked like he was just having a break, but we just couldn’t let this chance pass.

We introduced ourselves and immediately apologised for bothering him, but said that it wasn’t our fault because Chris sent us over.

He asked why we were in London, so we said again that we were here to see Muse and also the White Lies as support act and that we’ve seen them before.

Guy said something like “Oh, you’re going to a lot of concerts”.

He also asked us how long we were staying in London and what our plans for today were.

Anna answered that she was showing me London a bit, since I had never been to London before.

“So you haven’t been to central London yet?”, Guy then asked and I replied that we had actually just started our tour. :wideeyed:

Guy was really nice and suggested us some places to visit, I can’t really remember what places he mentioned though ... I was just too overwhelmed by the whole situation. After we took this pic ...

guyus.jpg

... we said bye and thanked him for taking the time to talk to us.

We tried to walk slowly, but once we were around the corner we just squeeeeeeeeeeeed like some maniacs.

Anna was just jumping up and down and I uttered “Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god” all the time.

We hugged and danced and just couldn’t believe our luck.

I really hope Guy didn’t hear us, but he’s probably used to those kind of reactions anyway.

Anyway, I already wrote enough, but I just want to add that all three of them were wonderful.

Chris is really one of the nicest guys ever, and this is no exaggeration (but all you Chrissy-girls knew that anyway, right?! :P).

I’m still completely baffled and just can’t believe my luck. :dead:

total awesomeness !!!! :awesome: OMG!!!!! I'm sooo happy for you, I had a huge smile on my face while reading your story!! I would have shook the entire time and forgotten all the English I know or possibly to speak altogether! They seem so nice :nice: Congratulations! and thank you for sharing this special moment with us :)

I spoilered your quote to save space, Imke. :P

You two have the best luck! :dead: Barrier for both Wembley nights and meeting Guy, Chris and Phil? :bigcry: I'm jealous, but I'm glad you met them. :awesome: Congrats! :freak:

:bomb: Now you know!

May I please add that I still think I talked a lot of non-sense? :P

Of course you think of other things you could have said afterwards... but we were so surprised!

Still, uttering non-sense is better than just standing there and not being able to say anything... like it was for me when Chris came outside after the War Child gig. :uhoh:

Chris was sooooo sweet to us, his grin when he said "Crazy is good" was just... :dead:

Ok, Imke is right, I'm back to being a fangirl. :shame:

Great story girls!! Again, congrats!!! Good to see the CP karma is working!!! The boys are so nice :smug:

Been there 3 times and saw nobody (except Matt McGinn, but didn't want to bother him...)

Phil then asked us how we knew where the studio was and if it was on Coldplaying, he also told us to keep it a secret.

 Phil is so clueless...!

that's such a sweet story imke, thanks for sharing :cheesy: i really had to laugh at the bit when chris was worried about the traffic because it was the same when we met him back in 2008 ;D d'awww he's so nice :nice: really happy for you, like i already said :)

So that's how he was like when he left the Shepherds Bush Empire after the War Child Gig and we followed him. He was on the other side of the street already and everyone ran after him and he was shouting at us to be careful and to watcht he traffic :laugh3:

Bless him! :)

Amazing story, Imke :)

Both of you were just extremely lucky and fortunate to be able to meet the 3 guys.

You girls are so lucky! :D

They always seem very nice :wacky:

I wish someday I get to meet them too.

Thanks for sharing the pictures and the wonderful story with us, ANNA and IMKE.

I am so glad that you were able to meet CHRIS, GUY and PHIL.

And then you went to two MUSE concerts and saw LONDON. THUMBS UP!

An experience you will definitely NEVER EVER forget. :)

What a wonderful story!

I'm sure you'll cherish these memories forever :nice:

I only wish many more fans have the chance to experience what these two lovely girls just went through :)

Thanks so much for sharing with us!
