Hogy
X Factor mentor Dannii Minogue has revealed that she wants Coldplay frontman Chris Martin to perform with Stacey Solomon in the final. Last year, the final three contestants were joined on stage by superstars, with winner Alexandra Burke getting the chance to sing with her idol Beyonce. Simon Cowell has reportedly raised the bar this series, by convincing Paul McCartney to duet with one of the hopefuls. And it sounds like Dannii is already planning Stacey’s victory, by telling the Dagenham girl’s fans over Twitter that she wants to get Chris on board. When discussing Stacey’s performance in the final, Dannii wrote: “Chris Martin and Stacey duet would be incredible.” http://www.mirror.co.uk/celebs/news/2009/11/27/x-factor-dannii-minogue-wants-stacey-solomon-to-duet-with-coldplay-s-chris-martin-in-the-final-115875-21855707/ Oh no. noonsun
I kind of hope Chris doesn't do this. Stacey Whatserface would sort of be smushed.
EmmaLouiseSmyth
I was just reading this article. :nice: This could happen :\ he seems to love the show. Well he's fascinated by it anyways. But just can't picture it in my head. She needs the whole band :D They can drown out her singing.

Mimixxx
I could *almost* see that happening... I know! If it wasn't for Chris' whole "everybody hates us we have to disappear for 2 years" post album policy I'd be worried it would be going ahead :P
RedGirl76
Two things cross my mind.... 1) Would Will let him do it? (he is the decider ) 2) Does Simon Cowell want Stacey to win? (Lets face it, he decides who wins... the chosen one gets the best duet - Leon Jackson got to sing with Kylie in her undies while Rhydian got stuck with Katharine Jenkins. Alexandra got Beyonce while JLS got stick with Westzone. If Simon Cowell decides he wants Stacey to win, he'll get Chris)

mehelik
Don´t worry.... Chris is maybe her fan, but I think and HOPE, that he´ll say no....but...if Jonny could have someone from X-factor on his wedding, why Chris can´t sing duet with Stacey....

mc_squared
Don't say that! Afterall Chris owes Simon one after the Yellow/X Factor thing at the UK stadium gigs! I don't think so, as that was actually good publicity for X Factor. Coldplay could easily have done without it, and in fact, I thought that part of the show was a bit tacky and unnecessary. Mimixxx
Well I was only kidding :P I thought it was quite funny, purely for how Chris executed it
RedGirl76
Well I was only kidding :P I thought it was quite funny, purely for how Chris executed it  I got the joke! This whole thing just reminds me of Extras, where he walks in to the facotry and sings Fix You... I can just see him walking through those big doors on the stage... drifting through a cloud of dry ice :laugh3:

mc_squared
Well I was only kidding :P I thought it was quite funny, purely for how Chris executed it  I love Chris's unique on-stage banter and when he changes the words to songs to fit the occasion, but I just think that went a bit too far as it was very "staged" and "pantomimic". I actually found it a bit cringeworthy, tbh, and is probably one of the reasons why I preferred the Duesseldorf concert in terms of the performance, if not the overall atmosphere.;)

mc_squared
Oh, it´s true, who knows as it was..... I think Chris isn´t a type of artist, who needs popularity like this.... Very true. He's a serious musician who doesn't need to be associated with such a tacky show as X Factor. If he goes down that road, he really will be forever regarded as a "pop" star.:dozey:
