I was just listening to St. Pepper today in my car. I think it's the best Beatle album. :)

In my last morgue class of 1st semester, the doctor (amazing teacher btw) used a pig's heart to show us the heart anatomy :nice: and yes haha, it really stinks.

He also used a cow's heart, so fucking big, I used the scalpel on it <3

It has to be, medicine is so beautiful.. SOOO BEAUTIFUL DAMMIT.

Is your school linked to some hospital? Mine is. But they have blood :P

So I gave some blood today (again) and the person who took the sample did it wrong :stunned: broke my vein.

I didn't see how much they took, cause I can see blood, touch it, and take samples, but not see my own blood go out of my body :(

And your fingers smell like that for hours even if you wash your hands till they become red xD

Oh lucky, I don't have anything like that so far :\

Yeah, the uni is right next to a huge hospital :nice: Of course they always have blood, but not always as much as them would like to!

Aah that's awful! Does it still hurt?

Aww I understand, doctors can do so many things to people, but don't like that much to endure the same :D

To pass the time I was looking at my blood going into the pocket^^

Nobody cares.

I used rubber gloves :P But after sometime, I got sick of the smell of gloves.

How much blood did you give?

It hurts lolz, the area is purple.

See? that's what I'm talking about, I haven't been able to see my blood go into the tube, I freak out.

I got an 89 on my anatomy test from Tuesday :D but I'll have a genetics test on Monday :mean:

If you love morgue stuff there is a good book called Stiff by Mary Roach. She writes about a place in Tennessee called the body farm where they place dead bodies around to see how long it takes for them to decay in different conditions. It's interesting.

Wow, sounds morbid.

But I'll definitely look in my school's library :nice:

I even go to read the forensics books, and look at the pics :P

Shocking stuff.

In the first scene of my play, Alexia hears alien voices telling her the attachment sites of muscles :awesome:

Every muscle?

Forearm muscles and hand are the worst

I didn't pass hand muscles test.

I passed the rest though :awesome:

Ha, the smell of the gloves is still not as terrible

Oh, Between 400and 450milliliters I think!

Woops, that's what happens when they miss the vein^^

Congrats for your test! :nice:

Oh genetics, you better remember what I told you:whip: ^^

Of course I'll remember it :cool2: Also, she gave us the specific and useful stuff we need to know, a lot though, but better than nothing.

And I'm giving class about kidney in a week or so, sucks.

But, guess who's starting nervous system in anatomy..

ME. I got a braingasm when the doctor told me I'll start with central nervous system.

And also, I'm reading this neuroscience book between classes in the library, it's in english, and it's really good. <3

My glucose test scared me, 64 mg/dL, but my genetics doctor told me that it could be because of my anemia :/

No, it'll be intercostals I think :awesome:

No, it'll be intercostals I think :awesome: Like... idk... they just seemed really hard to memorize to me...

There are over 20 muscles in your arm.

Intercostals are just between the ribs, internal and external, not that hard.

edit: It's not only memorizing their names, you need to learn their right insertions in the right part of the bone, relations with other structures, such as nerves, veins, arteries and other muscles.

Innervation and action of each muscle.

Pain in the ass.

OK I can change it to forearm muscles if you want :P

Nah, abdominal are better <3

I'm studying urinary system in anatomy after I eat something :awesome:

Genetics as well.

Of course I'll remember it :cool2: Also, she gave us the specific and useful stuff we need to know, a lot though, but better than nothing.

Ha, that's always so difficult to the difference between what's important and pure details! You'll do it well :nice:

Yay, nervous system^^ I forgot almost everything that I learnt before december cause my anat exams are in June

Aw, that sucks :\ So you've got hypoglycemia?

Thanks <3

What do you have to study for your exam? Just nervous system?

My next anat test is going to be about endocrinology, peritoneum, urinary system, sexual organs (lolz) and possibly eye + ear.

I don't think so, I feel ok :/ perhaps it happened cause I hadn't eaten that much, I don't know.

Uhm, the neck (vessels, muscles and organs) and the whole encephalon+cranial nerves... The most difficult thing is to learn the ways of the different nerve fibers

Wow that's a lot! I guess it's not that detailed right? :uhoh:

Yeah, probably, that's baaad:whip:

Neck is a big pain :(

But aaah, I can't wait to study all that brain crap :wacky:

Yes, it's detailed. And the doctor is very interested in making us find pathologies for each organ, and "rare" facts.

All I could study about urinary yesterday was everything except urethra, I wasn't in the mood to read about male/female differences.

I'm currently studying for genetics :awesome:

Oh neck is alright compared to the nervous system!

You like to suffer uh? ^^

That's the most interesting stuff I think, too bad we don't study organs' physiology and pathology that much :\

Ugh! I studied biochemistry today, absolutely hate that!

  • Author

Yeah, but neck has all these triangles, vascular crap, thyroid crap, lolz.

I kinda like challenges, and it looks so exciting, so I'll probably love it.

About physiology, I'm studying kidney function related to blood pressure. Good stuff.

What did you study?

I'm going to finish carbs tomorrow

Yah, triangles are horrible! :dead:

I bet you'll do great :nice:

That's not what I like the most, but it's okay

Erm, glycosis and gluconeogenesis

Haha I already had to learnt this shit last year, but anyway I guess we don't see things in the same order

  • Author

Yeah, might be :P

I had my genetics test.. it was ok. I think I'll pass..

On Wednesday in biochemistry I'm doing this cholesterol thing, so more blood..

I'm really tired :( ah..
