those of u who agree that some of the CP lyrics are crap should ask yourself if ur a true fan?

 

Is it such a terrible thing if one is not a zomg "TRU FAN", and if one has realized that fact themselves?

Wow, this discussion takes me 3 years back to the time where I were in high school.

At the litterature classes there were, according to me, 4 types of students:

 

1.) students, who didn't make their homeworks and didn't understood poems,

2.) students, who didn't make their homeworks, but tried to understand poems,

3.) students, who did make their homeworks, but was pulling out hair from their

head, because they simply didn't understood the poems,

4.) students, who did make their homeworks and had a great analyze and

discussion to it.

 

When we entered the litterature classes, then there were complitely different

sights to the poems, whether they liked them, hated them or were blank...

and I find it brilliant. I think we can say that it happens in this discussion thread

too.. ;) We might not agree here, but it is good to see a discussion of opinions and views.

 

 

There is a fifth type of student, students who don't do their homework but still understand the material.

Just saying.

That's just basicly the whole song. I could think of 25435.443 more things that he could have added to the song.

I love the ending of this song, but the middle is just horrible.

I adore the band and their music a lot. However, I can definitely say that I find some of their lyrics to be very awkward or weak.

 

Being a "true Coldplay fan" doesn't necessarily mean you love every single song or music the band composes. It's not like Coldplay can do no wrong in the music world.

Speaking of lyrics . . .

 

I know "Bloodless Revolution" is just a demo, but I don't like that lyric that goes like "there's no use crying when the milk's already been spilled [spilt?]". I know it's an idiom, but that lyric bugs me a lot.

It's Chris trying to be symbolic in his lyrics but that statement is just being painfully obvious. Which is irritating.

I feel im a true fan of CP cos i enjoy their music on a totally different level to other bands, i think their lyrics are poetry and mean something in different ways to different people wether they make total sense or not,their lyrics is wat sets them apart, im a fan of many bands but dont like every song other bands release. I certainly do not whack on CP albums n sit listening without truly listening to wat the track means to me,many people r fans but true fans cant fault CP in any way even if they tried,thats my opinion of how i feel n cant understand y CP fans would say some of their lyrics r crap,'y would u do that its bizarre?'

I do agree with this, but everything depens on what people like the most about them. For me it's not the lyrics. I personnally think that Coldplay lyrics are normally meaningless (at least for me) but it's the music that attrackts me. ''Sobre gustos no hay nada escrito'', say Spanish people. ''There's nothing written about taste.''

I agree with the Fix You part. The lyrics are just a bit boring.

these lines are distant from AROBTTH philosophy

The entire song lost, and most of strawberry swing, just cant stand them, very boring.

Lost! lyrics are defiantly on the boring side, even though I really like the song.
